Bedtime is sacred. What you do before bed determines the quality of your sleep and the energy with which you wake up the next morning.

I used to think that the key to success is the morning routine, but then I realized that it doesn't matter so much if you keep waking up tired and lifeless. It is difficult for you to get out of bed and start your day on a positive note if you have not slept enough and this is due to yesterday.

Your day starts the night before. Experiment with the following before you fall asleep:

Clean up your mind

Each new day fills our minds with a huge stream of thoughts, ideas, problems, and stories that repeat themselves over and over again.

Cleanse your mind before you go to sleep. Allow all this to go away, getting rid of nightly meditations and insomnia.

Write down your thoughts before bed, talk to your partner about how your day went, and so on.

Relax

To prepare for bed, you must first relax a little. Sit down, relax, lie on the couch, lie on the floor, rest on the bed, or choose your way to relax.

To some extent, bedtime relaxation involves a transition of the mind into a state of peace. We all have a kind of activity that helps to relieve tension. Take care of them before going to bed.

Take a hot shower

A shower before bed is a great way to relax. The only thing that matters is the time you spend alone with the water flowing all over your body. The sound and movement of water have a meditative effect that cannot be scientifically explained.

Stop eating before going to bed

Eating before bed is a bad idea. Your body needs rest, as does your stomach.

It allows the body to relax and give up late snacks.

Spend time with your partner

During the day, we spend a lot of time talking on the phone and in front of the computer screen, forgetting that there are people in the world. Questions about how one day went by help to distract yourself, and this is another way to clear your mind.

Before going to bed, try to re-establish contact with the human world.

Calm your worries

Emotional thoughts will not let you fall asleep, forcing your brain to work. But in a dream, you can't solve your problems. A great idea here is to accept your own experiences and try to calm them down tomorrow morning without coming up with action plans at night.

Think about everything you've got

I've found that thinking about my success helps me fall asleep.

Listing all the current successes in your mind, you have a sense of pride that gives meaning to the day you lived. All your battles become justified, and this thought perfectly relaxes your mind before you go to bed.

Don't go on social media before going to bed

All that is required for guaranteed insomnia is to read a few random comments or compare successes with strangers.

When it comes to social networking, there is always the desire to read another post, to leave another comment, to learn more about another author, to read another funny fact, or to meet another opportunity.

Accessing social networks before bed causes the brain to travel millions of miles per hour, and this is exactly the opposite of rest. Social networks cause thoughts to arise and are a source of a huge amount of information that enters the brain at high speed. Thus, he cannot relax for sure.

Be grateful for something

You do not have to strive for spiritual harmony and be humble. Appreciating something helps you realize how much you already have. Every day you receive a gift - when something goes well among all those things that go wrong. And this gift is a great topic for discussion.

Every day in the world, something special happens to you. Did anyone hold the door for you? Did your colleague bring you a delicious coffee? Did you read the book you wanted? Today, a lot has happened as planned, and if you remember at least one thing, you can prepare for tomorrow and wake up full of energy.
