Who would have thought a virus that originally comes from an animal can kill more than half a million peoples all over the world so far making it the most deadly pandemic in this century.

Not only people are still battling with the pandemic but some of the developed countries are being feared that they might lose to the pandemic if no drastic measure to be taken.

Top three-country that have it worse are the USA, Brazil and, India with 10 million infected cases reported. And the number is still increasing each day.

Covid-19. That is the name of the deadly pandemic. They exist in the middle of nowhere and destroy everything in their way. It first started in Wuhan, China back in December 2019.

Although the media reported about the new virus most people don't take it seriously since they thought that it might be regional. No one would have thought that it will spread all over the world in the shortest time.

Because it is deadly, most countries take action immediately which is to do lockdown, however, not all did that. The main reason is because of the economy.

In Malaysia, the government introduces Restriction Movement Order (RMO) back in March 2020 to prevent the number of infected people increases.

The people are advised to not go out unless needed and the government will monitor the number of infected people every day. They will also announce in every two weeks about action that they will implement next.

Starting March until June, workers have to work from home, school, and universities are closed or using online classes. No cross-state allowed. No mass gathering allowed and the government also closed the border. Action will be taken if anyone breaks the rule.

Thankfully, the number of infected people is decreasing. Malaysia manages to flatten the curve, therefore the government started to loosen the RMO enforcement. The border is opened but only for Malaysian citizens. The company is allowed to open for business and etc.

Now, Malaysia is in the recovery phase. However, there are still three main rules that the people have to strictly follow which is wearing a mask, physical distancing, and no mass gathering.

People are having a problem adjusting to this. The freedom that they once have now has been taken away from them. Not to mention that they required to 'check-in' anywhere they go and check their temperature in case there will be a case later.

Besides that, people also need to line up to enter stores because they need to obey social distancing of one meter per person. The working hour for some office is shortened making it hard for people to get things done.

Those who coming back from oversea have to do self-quarantine for two weeks. No more 24 hours store or 'Mamak' time. No concerts or mass events will be held. The unemployment rate is higher since a lot of people lost their job during the pandemic.

Honestly, it is not easy. A lot of people are still dealing with it but they have come to an understanding that all of this is necessary to prevent the virus from spreading more.

Sadly, there are still selfish people who thinks that they are beneath the law and violate instruction given resulting in the addition of a cluster case in Malaysia.

The government has done everything in its power to control this deadly pandemic and now it is up to people as to how they will help in controlling Covid19 from spreading into the country.

Yes, it is annoying to line-up whenever you are going into the store. It is a hassle that some office shortened their office hour, there is no more 24-hour store (Mcdonalds including), you can't stay for more than 30 minutes at the diner.

You cannot go oversea (this one I honestly don't get it, why do you want to visit other countries that are still battling with Covid19?), no concert or mass gathering, the number of people at a wedding is not more than 250 people and many other restrictions.

This is all necessary and for the people's own good. Malaysia is this close in winning the war with the pandemic. Please don't make other people sacrifices in vain.

One thing that most people grateful for is the competent healthcare front-liners to keep everyone safe from the deadly virus not to mention other law-enforcement as well.

I am grateful that Malaysia's health care is one of the tops in the world. I hope people realize the importance of having a good health system during the pandemic.

So yeah, without any vaccine, people will have to adapt to this new normal. It is not easy but they will manage. Hopefully, the world will go back to normal and we will win the wars against the pandemic!
