For one to have a presence there must be a level of confusion.” - Confused person

A scientist is just as confused as a rock. That rock is no less confused as the air. The air shares the same confusion as you, the reader. However, you most likely are to believe you’re intelligent and not confused by any degree. At the least you have knowledge of simple mathematics, know how to clean things and wash yourself, may even know a thing or two about complex matters. This is true you are intelligent, everything is intelligent by definition but nothing can escape confusion. Quite literally, NOTHING CAN ESCAPE CONFUSION. You’re a something, a somebody like me (who is also confused), therefore we’re subject to potentially being confused by any fathomable thing. It’s only that I’ve accepted how much I don’t understand or could ever understand. Obviously, I’m not totally clueless about the fundamentals of existence just confused like everyone else.

You may think I’m trying to be funny or super philosophical, I’m not. We are confused beings who constantly yearn to make sense of all the chaos that surrounds us. We’re permeated with ignorance even of the things we claim to comprehend. I mean, if you were so brilliant and had life figured out, why did someone else have to teach you all that you know? You’re only as knowledgeable as your grasping of language, you didn’t even know your own name until someone told you. You wouldn’t have a birthday if someone didn’t give you one. This may sound harsh but you wouldn’t even have a purpose without external influences. “No! I’ve always wanted to be blank and do blank since I was blank years old!” Ok cool, you’re still confused, don’t worry about it.

Somewhere in the timeline of existence humans forgot they’re much like a doorknob; just sitting in silence until twisted. We’ve attributed our capacity of thought to being some sort of advanced creatures. Since we’re able to do so much like build houses, drive cars, start businesses, we automatically think we’re superior to everything else. What’s ironic is; the elements of nature may view us as inferior considering we spend our entire lives exploiting it. You go to work everyday, pay bills and taxes, enjoy luxuries, and so on. But why? For what? You’re a confused person so of course you may have a great excuse (disguised as an answer) to why all the pettiness you pursue is justifiable. Yes, the bulk of things we do as humans are petty.

Personally, I’m confused by the collective confusion alone. Not even factoring in religion, science, politics, economics, etc. Those concepts themselves possess a plethora of confusion but let’s not go there, I’m trying my best not to offend anyone. In everyday life you’ll witness confusion just by looking at nature itself. Why don’t the clouds have a taste and appreciation for fine art? Why aren’t apples walking around in 3-piece designer suits? Why aren’t trees going to get a 4-year degree from an Ivy League school? Oh yeah, I forgot their purpose of existence is to serve us! Sorry I got confused, silly me.

Don’t be mistaken by my words, I’m highly fascinated by the capabilities of humans as well as other beings. This isn’t a misanthropic rant, it just scares me a lil’ to see and hear these upright animals pretending like they’re so paramount in existence. Remember, not too long ago we were wiping our a**** with leaves, straws, and anything else we could find. Fast forward to modern times of the internet/social media there’s so many conflicting beliefs, ideas, and opinions being promoted, it’s hard to not get more confused just by trying to unravel one’s previous confusion. In conclusion, who knows ?!
