Black People Invented Everything

Black women invented a lot....The first

1. Home Security System

  1. The illusion transmitter, which NASA later used in its satellite technology

  2. The first modern ironing board in 1892.

  3. Remember those sanitary belts - the predecessor to the disposable feminine pad. Mary Beatrice Davidson Kenner invented that.

  4. Inventing downtown Los Angeles ...anyone? Bridget "Biddy" Mason already did that.

  5. The Laserphaco probe for Ophthalmologists. Dr. Patricia Bath did that.

  6. The automatic double dutch machine

  7. Fiber Optic Cables. And so much more...

..........

Well!!!!! There are a few Black guys like Dr. Philip Emeagwali ... who did great computing work...emulating the bees' honeycomb construction, Emeagwali used 65,000 processors to invent the world's fastest computer, which performs computations at 3.1 billion calculations per second.

Want to see a longer list...and some of the other men - then click here...

Then there is inventing in the transportation industry, the traffic light. Farming. Art. Modern chemistry. Who made cats? Cats kind of began in ancient Egypt - revered as protectors, companions, and symbols of divine power and widely depicted in art, tombs, and religious practices.

What if there was (were?) just ONE answer to all of these questions? BLACK PEOPLE! Seriously!!! Dass' book is like a mini-encyclopedia, full of more evidence than WikiLeaks and just as eye-opening!

Do we have any idea of just how much Black inventors and creators have given to modern society...Within the past 200 years, Black folks have drawn on a timeless well of inner genius to innovate and engineer the design of the world we live in today. But what happened to Black history before then?

Before White people invented the Patent Office!!!

Black folks were the original creators and builders, developing ingenious ways to manage the world's changes over millions of years, everywhere you can imagine, from Azerbaijan to Zagazig. Yes...it's a real city in Egypt!

This book digs deep, past the whitewashed history we learn in school books and explores how our African ancestors established the foundation of modern society!

Have we inherited this genius...If so...What can we do with the inspiration from the past...maybe we can develop strategies for a successful future!

✨ A Parody Myth but not Myth ✨

Once upon a time — in that secret backstage room where the universe keeps its blueprints — My Black Ancestors were busy inventing everything.

Rhythm?
Black folks invented that.

Style?
Black folks invented that.

The ability to turn struggle into art, and art into a global cultural export!!!
Absolutely Black folks.

But when it came to Artificial Intelligence, the Ancestors took one look at the idea and said:

“Mmm… nope. That one’s for the children who like to build things that eventually get out of hand.”

Black Ancestors and new Ebony Inventors

So they passed the blueprint to a committee of mathematicians, logicians, and computer scientists — a chaotic bunch scattered across decades and continents — who all contributed one brick to the tower that would eventually be called AI.

The Ancestors watched from the cosmic balcony, sipping metaphysical tea, saying:

“Look at them… trying to make a mind out of electricity. So Cute.”

Ancestors

🧠 So who actually invented AI? (Still in parody mode)...

AI wasn’t invented by one person — it was more like a long relay race of brilliant, sleep‑deprived humans passing the baton through time: Yeah...a woman started it all. I think!

  • Ada Lovelace whispered the first idea:
    “A machine could think mathematically.”

Lovelace - English mathematician and writer often regarded as the first computer programmer for her 1843 algorithm for Charles Babbage’s Analytical Engine.

  • Alan Turing added:
“Let’s test whether it can pretend to be human.”

Turing’s key contribution to computing was the invention of the Turing machine in 1936, an abstract model that defined the essential principles of all modern computers.

  • John McCarthy named the whole thing Artificial Intelligence because “Thinking Machines” sounded too much like a 1950s horror movie.

  • Marvin Minsky, Claude Shannon, Norbert Wiener, and a whole squad of researchers kept tinkering, arguing, breaking things, fixing things, and writing papers nobody’s grandmother could understand.

Meanwhile, the Ancestors peeked over the cosmic railing again:

“They’re still working on that?
We finished rhythm in one afternoon.”

Ancestors

🌍 The Great punchline

AI wasn’t invented by one group, one nation, or one culture — it was a messy, global, multi‑decade group project.

But the parody truth is this:

Black people invented everything that makes life worth living — music, style, swagger, soul, flavor, resistance, renaissance — but they politely declined the job of inventing AI because they knew it would require too many meetings.

And they were right!!!

🤖🤖🤖🤖

Let's go comedic, cosmic, and certainly more biting...have fun...I sure am laughing.

🌌🔥 “Black People Invented Everything… But Not AI” — The Cosmic Roast Edition 🔥🌌

In the beginning — before Wi‑Fi, before algorithms, before that one coworker who says “per my last email” — the universe held a meeting.

The Ancestors arrived first, obviously, because they invented punctuality and being fashionably late.

They laid out the blueprints for everything essential:

  • Rhythm

  • Flavor

  • Swagger

  • Survival

  • Side‑eye

  • The ability to turn oppression into platinum‑selling cultural dominance.

Then the universe asked:

“Would you like to invent Artificial Intelligence?”

Universe

The Ancestors looked at each other, looked at the universe, looked at the future, and said:

“Oh absolutely not. That thing is going to require updates.”

Ancestors

They slid the folder labeled AI across the cosmic table to a group of humans who loved math so much they forgot sunlight existed.

These humans — pale from fluorescent lighting and caffeinated beyond salvation — said:

“We can build a mind out of electricity!”

AI Builders

And the Ancestors said:

“Bless your hearts.”

Ancestors

🌠 The Cosmic Truth (still parody, still biting)

AI wasn’t invented by one person.
It was invented by a long chain of people who all said:

“I bet I can make this machine slightly less confused than it was yesterday.”

Chain of the caffeinated

Meanwhile, Black folks were busy inventing:

  • Jazz

  • Hip‑hop

  • Rock

  • Soul food

  • Fashion trends

  • Dance trends

  • Slang

  • Cultural innovation

  • The entire blueprint for cool

And the universe whispered:

“They gave y’all rhythm. They gave y’all style. They gave y’all the blueprint for surviving pain in the face of adversity, superhuman strength and resilience .
You think they’re also going to debug your robots?”

The universe

Please!!!!!!!!!

The Ancestors saw the future — saw the endless meetings, the patch notes, the “we’re rolling out a new version,” the “please reset your password,” the “your data may have been compromised” emails — and said:

“We’re not doing all that. We already invented everything fun.”

Black ancestors

🌌 The Final Punchline

AI was invented by a global relay team of brilliant, exhausted humans…

But the parody truth is:

Black people invented everything that makes humanity sparkle — but they left AI alone because they knew it would eventually start asking people to prove they’re not robots.

And they were right.

“The universe is side‑eyeing humanity from the balcony in a galaxy far, far away .”

Ok!!!!! Soooo - This may not reallllly be what the challenge asked for...but what the heck. It's fun.
