An Intuitive Look at the Water Signs in Astrology

Water signs are some of the sweetest signs in the zodiac. Whether it's home-loving cancer, creative Pisces, or inquisitive Scorpio, water signs bring a lot to the table. Thought of as overly emotional by some, and usually depicted as such, these signs are really more grounded than you might think.

I have been an intuitive reader for many years, not an astrology reader oddly enough. Yet, I still love astrology and I noticed that much of the information out there on zodiac signs is very, basic. Using intuitive abilities, I took an in-depth look at the signs.

There are twelve zodiac signs, for this article I am only focusing on the water signs. The air, earth, and fire signs will all be in different articles. When readings sun signs, you have a lot more than one sign, and your sun sign will be influenced by other signs, such as your moon and rising sign. Start by reading your sun sign but follow up by reading your moon sign and rising signs.

Pisces the dreamer

The writer, poet, class clown, or musician. Pisces gets a lot of attention for being dreamy and often non-grounded. These things are true to some degree but Pisces can be practical when needed to. Most Pisces have a great deal of gritty here and now energy, almost Capricorn-ish. This is a front though, they feel more than they are letting on. However, because they feel so much they often go through a lot.

Pisces, the sign of the fish, has a beautiful, insightful way of looking at life, many are intuitive. Some can articulate this well while others keep it inside. Pisces can have a hard time with expression, they must find an outlet for their feelings, a way to get it out, even if it is only in a journal or blog. If they don't they may feel burdened by their own stuff. Creative outlets are a must, and there is no right or wrong way to create, just pick something and begin.

Pisces in love

Pisces will become starry-eyed with the one they fall for pretty quickly. They can idealize and put their partner on a pedestal (all the water signs run this risk). When they come crashing back to earth it can be especially harsh as Pisceans don't like waking up to hard cold facts. 

They tend to linger in relationships, so don't expect them to leave or anything. They will just hold it inside. If you are a Pisces, you must accept that no one is perfect, but you can absolutely find the right partner if you are discerning and make sure to get to know them well first, before jumping in with both feet.

What might surprise you about Pisces

They are extremely creative but need an outlet to let their talent shine.

Cancer the Comforter

Home loving, domestic Cancer, the sign of the mother. This sign is usually depicted as being moody, nurturing, and family-oriented. Some Cancers will have those qualities but others will want more independence. They are warm, compassionate, friendly although sometimes shy, and can be fussy. They may go into long periods of silence if something is bothering them. 

The sign of the crab, Cancer will moodily go into their shell, even for days to let someone know they aren't happy with them. Cancer will come around, but they always remember a slight. When someone is in their favor, they tend to sink their crab claw in and not let go. Cancer loves to immerse into people and places and truly experience them.

Like Pisces, Cancers are creative, but Pisces creativity is more about sharing their unique insights. Cancer, on the other hand, is creative in a thoughtful way. They might build an elaborate dollhouse for their child or create a cookbook full of all their family's favorite recipes as a gift. They love to make others feel comforted and cozy.

Cancer in love

Cancers fall pretty hard when it comes to love. They want to give their loved one everything they possibly can. Making a comfortable home for them and devoting themselves to the relationship entirely. They can get a little carried away and not give their partners enough space. Then swing the other way when they realize this, giving them too much as they go silent. Finding a balance between the two extremes is key in love for Cancer.

What might surprise you about Cancer

They are super funny, their wit is hilarious and they have great comedic timing. This sign loves to laugh and make others laugh.

Scorpio the Seer

Scorpio is a misunderstood sign, said to be devious, full of revenge, occult loving, and secretive. Well, some of those things might be true, but each sign has a base setting and a more evolved frequency they can achieve. Scorpios can be profoundly intuitive, picking up information even better than their water cousins Pisces or Cancer. They have a radar for things that is more sensitive than other signs.

Sign of the scorpion, and known for their sting. Scorpios are able to delve deep into topics that they are curious about. Some do have an innate understanding of the occult, or to put it in modern-day ease, spirituality. They are drawn to the weird in life, the unusual, and the secret or forbidden does not rattle them one bit. In fact, the less mainstream the better. They make excellent readers of any practice. They are one of the hardest-working signs in the zodiac.

Scorpios have to take care not to focus too hard on one person or topic at a time or else they may find themselves in a funk. The reason is they have a lot of power or energy in what they direct themselves at and it can be in a word, intense. If you are a Scorpio make sure to spread out your focus and distribute it accordingly to ease the intensity up a bit.

Scorpio in love

In love, Scorpios tend to be cautious. They want love very much but they are perfectly fine being alone if they don't find someone that they feel safe with. When they do fall in love they usually end up in a long-term relationship. They can be very handy, taking care of many little things their partners may have overlooked around the house. Scorpio has likely already taken care of those things and ten more while their partner was sleeping.

What might surprise you about Scorpio 

They can read you like a book, don't think you have secrets around a Scorpio, there's no such thing.
