8 Reasons Why Your Life Will Never Change
Do you want to change your life?
We are in the middle of autumn, the school year is in full swing, the temperatures are dropping and it is much easier to get your head moving, your thoughts overwhelm you with the desire to make some totals. Those who have been on holiday are anxiously looking at the year of uninterrupted work that awaits them.
But those who have not rested, in general, have the feeling that life passes by, "everyone travels, only I am a loser." By the way, this is one of the causes of "autumn melancholy." Autumn is like New Year's Eve. Many feel that a new stage in life is beginning. Taking stock is not always accompanied by joy and self-pride.
On the contrary. In such moments you feel that you are still working and working, you are working on your changes and goals… but you keep up. People simply hide behind hesitation, weakness, lack of courage, they promise to start a new life on Monday, tomorrow, after the New Year… And so they postpone and postpone indefinitely. But let's unravel the causes one by one.
1. You set abstract goals
I want to be beautiful. I want to be smart. I want to be successful. I want to be healthy.
Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT ain't for me either. Vague goals, hesitant actions, and hence insignificant results. Make it very clear how beautiful you want to be. In centimeters! How many minds do you need?
To play Brain Ring or to talk fluently about how you spent your summer? Success must also be expressed in numbers. How much health do you need? To run a marathon or to go up to the 5th floor without panting? Therefore, it sets concrete goals.
2. You lack the willpower
Many have the illusion that they control everything - themselves, their thoughts and desires, their lives after all. I can do this not for a day or a week, but months or even years. Not. If it were as you think, then you would not have waited for the "right time", you would not intend to do that, but you would have started to do it a long time ago.
As we all know, nothing happens by itself. No willpower is needed. Action is needed!
3. The entourage pulls you to the bottom
It's a well-known "secret" of successful people - you want to reach high heights, surround yourself with the right people, persevere, be expressive, interesting, positive-thinking, and successful.
They will serve as an example, support you and motivate you to reach new heights. You want a change, then change your circle of communication.
4. You do not have a strong motivation, and this gives rise to laziness
I analyzed laziness in detail here. Man tries to find motivation outside when it is difficult for him to take responsibility for his actions. It's like in childhood, you have to learn the lesson, otherwise, your parents will scold you. But in each of us are hidden colossal resources, capable of motivating us to get everything we want. Take a look inside yourself and you will find inexhaustible powers there.
5. You learn too much
There is a category of people who always study something. They do not always have enough knowledge, skills, and competencies, or diplomas to start doing something.
But theory without practice is worthless. Those who recognize themselves in these lines will probably agree that they will never reach the "necessary" level. It is important to start applying even the smallest amount of knowledge in practice. Start acting!
6. You do not have a clearly defined plan
The ultimate goal of all is to be happy. How would you react if someone sent you the task of making everyone happy? Correct, would you ask yourself how to do this, when, why, and for what?
Then why not ask yourself the same questions when it comes to yourself, ask yourself, "What does happiness mean to me?" Then make a concrete plan to achieve this goal and start taking a small step in the necessary direction.
7. Do not run to, but FROM
Everyone's running away from something. Is this your case? Does that also apply to those around you? But where are they all going? Where do they want to go? You don't have to run FROM, but too. For example, you want to quit smoking.
Much more effective is not to force yourself to give up vices but to gain new skills. Start playing a sport. Then you will have less time to smoke. Don't give up, but start getting something new. Don't focus on giving up, but on taking on new interests.
8. You don't appreciate what you have
You might not change anything. Turn the page over and stop aspiring to anything. Sit with your hands on your chest, envying those around you who are successful and luckier than you hate everyone and yourself. But if that doesn't work out for you, then take a step back.
Start looking at the world around you with different eyes, enjoy the routine things, the small successes, the fact that today is a little better than yesterday, that in the morning you get out of bed alone and go to the bathroom without anyone's help.
You make your coffee! Isn't that happiness? Start appreciating what you have today. Begin to change, make rational plans, and consistently achieve intermediate goals. Or happiness does not consist in the conquest of Olympus, but in the process itself. The whole life is a process. You choose whether you will enjoy this process or it will make you unhappy.
