One of the main issues people face these days is the lack of free time. But are we really honest with each other? Do we really have less time or do we just spend it on social media? On average, people spend two hours scrolling on social media. Instead, we should put our phones away and do some fun things with our friends.

Workout together

There is always one member of your group who is a true workout nerd. This person can be an inspiration to every clique member. You can spend quality time together and join a fitness class together. You don’t have to synchronize your workouts every time, but you can workout together occasionally. You will blow off some steam, have fun, low-key compete with each other and laugh at each other. This might be a boost you need to finally start exercising again after the holidays.

Go sightseeing in your town

Cities change all the time. Some places you knew forever close, while new coffee shops or hip places pop out without you noticing it. Check-in with your friends, and organize a sightseeing tour of your city. You can go searching for amazing street art or visit the latest museum collection. There is probably at least one walking tour of your city so you can all join. If you speak a foreign language, you can play the act and have fun along the way. People might even believe that you are Italian or Spanish.

Sign up for a trivia night

Trivia night at your favorite pub and coffee place is a chance for you to have fun and even win a prize. As a group, you can combine your interests and knowledge on various topics and compete with other teams. These trivia nights are a fun way for you to test your strengths and see how well you work as a team. Even if you do it for pure fun, you’ll gain more from two hours of competing than from scrolling through your feed. Remember to take a selfie after each quiz so you can remember this night forever.

Binge watch a new season together

When a friend discovers a new and interesting TV show, chances are you’ll be watching it at one point. Once you get hooked, you’ll share your opinions and discuss the unexpected twists together as a group. When the new season comes out, you can watch it together and experience the same emotions and sensations. This will be an all-day event, so make sure you have something to eat as well. Everyone can bring a dish so you’ll have plenty of food. These types of parties are common in Australia and the season finale is always followed by eating a sugary treat. The host usually goes for cake delivery in Sydney and surprises everyone with a tasty treat. People love cake so pick one everyone will like and ask for another slice.

Create a bucket list of things you wish to do together

Sing karaoke, go on a rafting adventure, go hiking, visit an adventure park and many others are great when done with friends. Get together and make a list of things you plan on doing as a group. Since everyone has a life of their own, plan at least one bucket list activity a year. This way you’ll have enough time to pick the date that works best and plan the entire event. You can nurture your sense of adventure together and leave your comfort zone and try something new.

Do a swap party

Get together and exchange things you no longer need. You can swap things that you no longer use or need and give it to someone you trust. In turn, you can get something too because you’ll be swapping things. Maybe your friend has a computer desk he no longer uses and you’ve just moved to a new apartment so you need one. Giving to others and helping people you love is one of the ways to strengthen your bond and deepen your friendship.

Put together a large puzzle

If you love challenges, a large puzzle is just the thing you need. You’ll need a lot of patience but the end result will be worth it. If you do it as a group, you’ll assemble it a lot quicker. Once again, this is a great way to spend quality time together and sharpen your cognitive skills, improve memory, mood, and less stress. You can even compete with each other and set up a challenge. Whoever is the quickest to connect 20 pieces together, is the winner for the day. Get a tiara or a victory hat that person will wear for the night. Each time you meet, a different person we’ll get a chance to compete for the reward.

Next time you feel bored and start scrolling through your feed, log out of the app and call your friends instead. You’ll be a lot happier afterward and less stressed.
