1. Davido

In a recent interview with celebrity host, personality, and interviewer, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on an episode of the BlackBox Interview series, Nigerian singer and songwriter Davido was asked by Ebuka about his wedding plans for current fiancée, Chioma.

Davido said in response to Ebuka’s question:

Honestly, Corona fuck it up. It was supposed to be in July. But we both decided probably sometime next year. For now I want her to concentrate on her business.

This is one of the most anticipated Nigerian celebrity weddings. We all can’t wait to see how big Davido’s wedding is going to be considering how big every other thing he has done as regards Chioma has been.

2. Seyi Shay

Nigerian singer Seyi Shay revealed on an episode of Stoopid Sessions hosted by singer, Simi, that she got engaged last year but because of wedding preparations and the whole lockdown, not only did the wedding get cancelled, the relationship also ended. She said:

I got engaged last year and people that knew knew, I had my ring on. But people thought it was maybe a fashion thing, but it was actually an engagement ring. A few months later we broke up. We were already arguing and the pressure was getting a lot because of the whole wedding. You know there’s a lot of stress when you’re planning a wedding. Then, in that whole process, our relationship started to break down and eventually I found out he was cheating on me.

Yikes! At least thank God that the hustle from wedding planning started to bring up issues so she could run away fast.

3. Eve Esin

January 2020, Nollywood actress Eve Esin took to Instagram to post a picture of her ring with the caption “T A K E N” in a bid to announce her engagement to the world.

Few months later, the world went on lockdown and no wedding bells have rung yet for the beautiful actress. Fans have taken to social media to ask Eve about the wedding and the general consensus that has come from the comments is that the wedding was supposed to take place but has now been moved because of the Coronavirus.

4 & 5. Khafi and Gedoni

Big Brother Naija lovebirds, Khafi and Gedoni were supposed to tie the knot on April 4th of this year, but on the day of the wedding, Khafi took to social media to announce in a now-deleted Instagram post that

A lot of people don't know this but I was supposed to be getting married today

In addition to the Instagram post, she also made a YouTube video explaining how and why the wedding ceremony was cancelled.

That’s All.
