Today's material is intended for those who want to delve deeper into the sources of panic attacks.

There are several opinions on the causes of panic attacks. These include physiological disorders, body dysfunction, certain incorrect psychological settings, and childhood trauma. More superficial causes, ie those that directly cause panic attacks are stress, shocks, psychotropic substances, alcohol, and some diseases.

Even if the person has a genetic predisposition to panic attacks, it is in their power to work on it to eliminate the problem or at least to significantly reduce its intensity. That is why in this article we will describe only the psychological predispositions.

The negative perception of situations

There is a problem with the person's entourage. For example, in the company where he works, there are staff reductions and the first redundancies have already taken place. Now the person has a choice of how to react to what happened. He can solve problems quietly as they arise: as long as there is no problem, you have nothing to solve. The energy she has not consumed for vain emotions can channel her to perfect or acquire a new profession, which she has always dreamed of. This is a positive approach.

There is a second option, a negative one: to worry, to be nervous, and to be agitated. The approach to the problem (both the first and the second) characterizes only the fact that the person copes with a concrete situation, why he is guided. Psychologists characterize the person, who opts for the second variant of reaction as an anxious, suspicious, and not too resistant to stress person.

So he approaches a positive attitude towards life and works with negative emotions. Don't know how to do it? Consult a psychologist.

Constant stress

If there is no peace in your life, if you do not have sleep, if you eat where and when you start, not very healthy, if you do not practice sports, if a constant source of stress persists, then, first of all, overcome these aspects. You'll deal with panic attacks later.

Switch from night work schedule to day schedule. If there is an abuser in the family who humiliates you, insults you, or resorts to other forms of violence against you daily, you should first remove this stressor. There is no point in treating cough if the person has the flu.

Feeling we have 'Run out of gas' emotionally

It is harsh but accurate wording that characterizes the inner state of those who suffer from panic attacks. People who face this problem are characterized by common traits: they are sensitive personalities, with rich imagination, above average intelligence, extremely suspicious and anxious, who often suffer from unfounded fears (or founded) anxiety.

They do not expect anything good from life, they do not trust people. They feel relatively safe only at home. I don't know what the feeling of security means. Also, these people are often afraid to make mistakes. In their opinion, there is an ideal way out of any situation, and if they did not find the perfect solution, they did not look for it well enough.

One of the reasons may be hidden in childhood when they were overly guarded, which is why the child did not know all the stages of maturity. This is what happens when parents try to protect their child from mistakes, do not allow him to learn to solve problems, overcome obstacles and draw the right conclusions.

When the child grows up and the protection of the parents inevitably weakens, the problems start to come one after the other, knocking him to the ground and preventing him from getting up. Then the psyche's protective function is triggered - beat or run. After that, the panic attack does not take long to appear, as an inappropriate reaction to an inappropriate danger.

Lack of psychological hygiene

We learn a lot about the world around us from school. But no one tells us how not to get upset, what to do if you are already angry, how to behave when you are in a bad mood, etc.

If the person does not have the slightest idea of how his mental (thoughts) and emotional (emotions) world is constructed, if he does not know what the prophylaxis measures are, what he has to do, what he should not do, it is not surprising that in -a terrible moment, everything will go smoothly. Then there will be a panic attack.

Imagine that you live in a 20 m2 studio, but never take out the rubbish. First of all, because you don't know what garbage is and what it isn't. Secondly, you do not know that it must be taken to the landfill and even more so you do not know where it is. What will happen to the house in a month? Over one year? But in 25 years?

If you have had a panic attack, I recommend that you consult a psychologist, as this is a complex cause-and-effect relationship, which you may not be able to deal with on your own because of the levels of psychological protection that sometimes no longer work. . At first, turn to the services of a psychologist, and then you will deal with one.

I wish you all inner harmony.
