The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. "The incense and flame might just attract a Venus Dragonfly," Entomologist Joseph Keintz informed us.

Attracted by light and burning potpourri, the legendary Venus Dragonfly has yet to be caught. Found only in the Florida Everglades, the Venus Dragonfly is a predatory insect which has no known predators. This monster is at the very top of the insect kingdom, and for good reason.

There is no known quantity of the Venus Dragonfly, but it is currently at large and is capable of killing an elephant with a single bite. Laced with an unknown toxin, the Venus Dragonfly bares fangs which inject a lethal dose of venom of which there is no known antidote.

"One bite, and it's lights out for ya," Keintz said. "Things are bigger than a grown man's hand and faster than a bullet shot out'a 12 gauge."

The Venus Dragonfly has a record of several fatalities in the South Florida region, the victims are primarily scientists who are bold enough to try to catch one in the wild.

"Don't try to catch them. Don't look for them, and if you spot one you better pray it keeps its distance." Entomologist Joseph Keintz participated in this interview by showing us the picture of a corpse which had been taken by a forensic team. "You can see the bite marks there. Confirmed as a bite from a live Venus Dragonfly."

"Can't mistake it for anything else. The thing has a gold head and a red tail. When you see it, it's like staring death in the face."

There are body counts, we have them . . . The old saying goes . . .

. . . When a Entomologist goes missing in Florida, nobody bats an eye. Chalk it up to the Venus Dragonfly.

A mutation of the Venus Dragonfly, aptly named "Saturn Dragonfly", is a legendary finding. Information regarding the Saturn Dragonfly is rare, fragmented, and often unfounded.

Locally, there are Mormon anthropologists who suggested that the Saturn Dragonfly was once a pet of the deity Hercules. The Saturn Dragonfly adapted to its surroundings, evolved, and became Pegasus.

Known for their tall tales, the Mormon community in Florida pushes the ideal that one can obtain a pet Dragonfly.

If you pick the Venus Dragonfly, you align with Lucifer. Pick Saturn Dragonfly, and become aligned with the holy Elohim in Joseph Smith's texts. This Theological practice is not supported by the Keintz Entomologist foundation.

"Conclusively speaking, one should not fear the dragonfly, but we can respect its existence," Keintz acknowledges the possibility while disputing the existence of the Saturn Dragonfly.

"Ghost stories passed down in the Everglades by native people are common. The scientific theory of the Venus Dragonfly remains elusive, but true. Saturn Dragonflies are merely hypothesis, or rather, folklore."

There is a conclusion Entomologists are still searching for. Given the data and anecdotes from multiple sources, there is no way to catch and preserve the Venus Dragonfly nor the mythic Saturn Dragonfly.

Pressing forward, there are waivers to be signed and documents to be examined. This investigation of the vicious predator has not been properly funded, nor will any local universities collaborate with us in this investigation.

Attempts to receive funding for investigation are met with passive rejection. Undertakings such as these are often discarded, but the threat of the Venus Dragonfly remains ever present.

The Florida Paranormal Alliance Investigation Team remains unscathed, and they shall provide updates on the case as they are given henceforth.

We give our regards and pay our respects to those who have investigated this phenomenon.

Yay!! How cool and unique!! I really appreciated the details and the lore! I may be afraid to step outside for a while too… although I’m far from Florida… they don’t migrate, so they!?
