In the small village of Çaydurt, located in the middle of the Anatolian mountains of Turkey, life was peaceful but there was a looming sense of fear. Every year, strange incidents would occur on the night of "regaib", the first Thursday of the Islamic month of Rajab.

The locals believed it was the work of an uncontrollable force known as the "dabbe". The dabbe was a sinister entity that was believed to have the ability to possess humans, causing them to act erratically and revealing itself in the form of a black dog.

No one had ever been able to capture the dabbe or find evidence of its existence, but that would all change when a team of filmmakers arrived in Çaydurt to document this age-old legend.

The team consisted of four people; Hale, the director, her husband Harun, the cameraman, their assistant, Ceyda and Salih, the sound recorder. They spent their first few days interviewing locals and learning about the history of the dabbe.

As the day of regaib approached, the villagers warned the team not to venture out into the streets but they were determined to get footage of the dabbe. Hale was sceptical about the existence of the dabbe, but she was open to the idea of capturing a glimpse of this "mysterious creature" on film.

The team set up their equipment in a deserted house, hoping to catch any activity. As the night wore on, the group grew restless but there was no sign of anything unusual. That was until Salih picked up strange noises on his recorder. The sounds were low-pitched and resembled an unknown language.

With a sense of trepidation, Hale, Harun and Ceyda followed the sounds to a nearby mosque. The mosque was deserted but the team heard strange noises emanating from within. Suddenly, they heard screams coming from the mosque and decided to investigate.

As they entered the mosque, their cameras caught an eerie, shadowy figure which slowly transformed into the black dog. A terrified Hale stumbled backwards, her camera falling to the ground as she tried to escape but the entity was as fast as lightning and surrounded them all.

The team grew increasingly agitated but Harun discovered a hidden trapdoor that led to the cellar. They scrambled to safety as the door squeaked shut behind them. As they huddled in the cellar, they could hear the sounds of the creature coming closer.

They could hear the creature's voice, ringing inside their heads. It was as if the dabbe was calling out to them, summoning them to follow it. Hale was gripped by fear, her heart racing, as she watched the shadows of the black dog grow closer.

As the night progressed, the team grew increasingly worried for their lives. But even in their darkest hour, they kept the cameras rolling.

Finally, morning broke and the villagers found the team huddled beneath the mosque, shaking with fear. The team returned to Istanbul, but nobody believed their story of the dabbe.

The team members were never quite the same after their encounter with the dabbe. Hale became obsessed with the creature and spent long nights watching the footage they had captured.

Harun became distant and stopped working with his wife. Ceyda suffered nightmares and did not want to step out of her house. Salih, on the other hand, was convinced that he could decipher the strange sounds he had heard on his recorder, but none of the linguists could help him translate.

The team's encounter with the dabbe had left an indelible mark on them. They had witnessed something that nobody had seen before and had captured it on film, but nobody would believe them.

And so, the legend of the dabbe continued to thrive in Çaydurt, with the villagers certain that the black dog still stalked the night every year. As for the team, they had experienced their worst nightmares come alive, and it would stay with them for the rest of their lives.
