Their oldest daughter makes the night even more special bringing extra gifts for her younger siblings, ‘good night kids’ said the couple as they head to bed around 10:00 but had a second thought to let the kids stay up late to enjoy their new toys, little did they know that very moment is the last time their whole family will be together at half midnight. The phone rings waking Jenny and rushes downstairs to answer it, an unfamiliar female voice is on the other end and a creepy laughter emerges in the background. Jenny responds, ‘Please you dialed the wrong number’ and quickly hangs up, on her way back to bed she closes the curtains, locks the door and turns out the lights. She glances at her oldest daughter who is peacefully sleeping on the living room couch so Jenny thinks to herself that the kids must be upstairs in bed. It’s 1:30 am in the morning and Jenny wakes up once more but this time a thick smoke creeps into her room, Jenny and her husband rush out of the room only to find flames everywhere despite being completely shocked by the tragic scene, the couple and four of their kids managed to escape but the other five kids are trapped inside the house.

My brain constantly terrorizes me, holding me hostage to my own imagination. The images it shows me teeter between make believe and reality. Even when I take a breath and tell myself it’s fake, my body and my nerves react. Sometimes I jump, sometimes I hide, sometimes I scream or call for my partner. The odd thing is, I know they are fake. I always know what is real and what is fake, but it doesn’t change the fact that I see and feel the horrific images from my brain.

The period between the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century was marked by a significant industrial boom, especially in means of transportation such as cars, ships, and steam trains, which drove the affluent individuals of Europe and America to vie for the experience of these entirely new innovations, much like today's race to explore space. The Italian train company Zanetti did not miss this opportunity. In 1911, it organized a trip that brought together 106 individuals, including the wealthy, nobles, and businessmen. The specially prepared Zanetti train offered every possible comfort and luxury for this journey. The excursion commenced with everyone enjoying the scenic beauty along the mountain road from Rome to Milan, keeping all passengers thoroughly entertained. Then, as the train ventured into a lengthy, dark tunnel within the mountains, it never emerged from the other side.
The Garage
It doesn’t matter if it’s day or night; something about that quiet, stiff-aired box haunts me. The heavy door, the flickering lights, the way you can hear a hum of electricity that circles and surrounds you with no explanation.

"Markie banged on the door, his eyes beginning to tear up as he called for help. He had gone into the equipment shed looking for answers, and what he had found scared him nearly to death. As he banged on the door, he could hear the creature pulling itself free of the wall behind him. The massive paws came to rest on the ground, the claws clittered on the pavement, and he could almost feel the rumble as the beast came for him."
