My Nightmare.
Night came soft, and i closed my eyes. I did not know i was inside a dream. I stood on a hill with my younger brother. Below us was a quiet river, dark and deep. Then i saw her. A light-skinned woman stood by the river bank. Her long dark hair fell like night on her body. She wore a long red skirt filled with tiny shining things. Her chest was bare, but she did not look evil. She looked calm… too calm. She kept gathering white breakable plates, placing them beside the river one after another. But her eyes were watching me. She acted like she was busy, yet i felt her calling me without words. Slowly, something touched my body. A strange power. Like small electric shocks running through my skin. My legs became weak. My heart shook inside me. She moved closer in spirit, trying to pull me near. But i resisted. Then my younger brother threw a catholic crucifix to me, i caught it tightly in my hand. At once, the woman stopped. The river became cold. The wind cried loudly. Then i woke up. But even after waking, the strange electric feeling was still inside my body. And till today, i still remember the woman by the river.

Stay a While: The Lineage of the Mask . Honorable Mention in Stay a While Challenge.
The deepest dark does not hide the hidden; it hides the family we once trusted. There were no main roads here. Far down, there was darkness, a stream and a fallen tree; a dragon was carved into the bark. No signature marked the wood. Its length. Its width. If the light hit the grain, it would reveal a wood that was dead yet grand.

The Dementor's Kiss
That Harry Potter ride in Orlando I will never get on again! That forbidden journey ride where you wave around on an animatronic arm getting sea sick while giant animatronic spiders, Dragons, and dementors come at you extremely closely with no way to move back. You are strapped into the ride and stuck at the distance at which the ride creators decided you should have the metal creepies right in your face! Many people are scared of the Frankenstein ride, but the animatronics are a nice distance from you in that ride, plus don't have to go upside-down. Dracula flies over you at a distance above and Frankenstein is mostly on balconies.

My Reflection Smiled Back… But I Didn’t
I never believed mirrors could lie. They were supposed to reflect truth—nothing more, nothing less. That’s why what happened that night still doesn’t make sense to me. It began on an ordinary evening. I had just moved into a small apartment—nothing fancy, just quiet and cheap. The kind of place where everything echoed just a little too much. The bedroom had one large mirror fixed to the wall, directly across from the bed. I didn’t think much of it. Until the third night.

The Last Tenant
The landlord told me the last tenant moved out three weeks ago. He said it with the kind of smile that doesn't reach the eyes. The kind that answers a question you haven't asked yet.I didn't ask why the rent was so low. I should have. The apartment was on the fourth floor of a building that smelled like old wood and something else I couldn't name. Something sweet. Something that reminded me of fruit left out too long. I told myself it was the walls. Old buildings breathe, my mother used to say. They hold onto things.I moved in on a Saturday. By Sunday night I knew something was wrong.

There’s a Train That Only Stops for the Lost
I don’t remember how I got to the station. That’s the first strange thing. One moment I was walking through streets I knew too well—too repetitive, too empty—and the next, I was standing on a platform that didn’t appear on any map I had ever seen.

The Ledger of Seven Shadows
The Ledger of Seven Shadows The package arrived on a Tuesday—unmarked, wrapped in brown paper that smelled of wet earth and old copper. As a collector of "weird" things for my Vocal blog, I thought it was just another fan sending me a prop. I was wrong. Inside was a diary bound in what looked like weathered leather, though it felt uncomfortably like cold skin.
