Lily and Rose
“It’s not fair!” Lily wailed, stomping in circles around the kitchen. “Why does she get a dog? I’ve been the one begging for a puppy like, forever!”

Folk Tales
In the distant antiquated times, the grain in Yao Mountain was not quite the same as now. Around then, each grain on an ear of rice was basically as large as a gourd, and when the husk was opened, the rice inside gauged a few taels. Back then, there was compelling reason need to plant the grain. In pre-summer and late-spring, the seedlings would fill in the fields and become green all over; in fall, when the grain was yellow and ready, it would move down the streets and ways to the storage facilities of each and every family in Yaozhai. At the point when the grains were ready, each family cleaned their storage facilities to invite the enormous grains that moved into their homes.
Running With the Shadows of the Night, chapter 8
How are you feeling this evening, little one? Okay. You can be honest with me. Not too good. The new meds make me super nauseated. I’ve got, like, fifteen other things to make me not nauseated, but they don’t work all that well.

1. A specialist was planning to return home at 12 PM in the wake of doing crisis treatment. Strolling to the lift entryway, he saw a female medical caretaker and brought the lift down together, yet the lift didn't stop when it arrived at the primary floor and continued onward down. At the point when they got to B3, the entryway opened, the lift entryway opened, and a young lady showed up before them, with her head down, saying she needed to take the lift. The specialist saw this and briskly shut the lift entryway. The medical caretaker asked inquisitively, "How about you let her come up." The specialist said, "B3 is our clinic funeral home, the emergency clinic attached a red strip to the right hand of every carcass, her right hand, his right hand has a red lace ......" The medical attendant tuned in, bit by bit expanded his right hand, a troubling grin and said. "Is it ...... such a red rope ah?
A Closer Look at Joyce Carol Oates’ ‘Pumpkin Head’
A Woman Alone When I first read Joyce Carol Oates’ short story “Pumpkin Head,” I was so frightened that I didn’t want to be in my apartment alone afterward. Her stories have scared me before, but this experience was quite unsettling. As with most horror stories, the shock wore off with time, yet her characters continued to haunt me long after meeting them on the page. Perhaps it was her female protagonist — Hadley — whom I identified with so much that I could not forget her vulnerability as a woman living alone. As I sit here in my candle-lit apartment listening to the roll of distant thunder, I remember Oates’ story a decade later as we approach Halloween — the season of pumpkins and stories that make our skin crawl.

I awoke in a cold sweat. The squeak of the brakes and releasing pressure of the hydraulics. Late at night, I was the passenger. The bus rolled off as I stepped up to the porch of my parents home. I haven't been back here since my sister disappeared. With a wavering breath I knocked on the door. A seconds passed and no one responded. I looked at the windows. Through the bars on one I saw a faint gray glow. the light overhead flickered and buzzed. With no other lights around I hurried for the spare key. the door gave way a foul odor came over me. It smelled as though someone had left a cremated steak out for weeks. I walked through every room. No one was to be inside. The places left unchecked were out back by the pool, and my sister's old room. Passing through the open patio door I was greeted with a grizzly sight. Two corpses charred to a crisp, and cold to the touch.

Timberline
The silence is absolute, as if time never began here and never will. How can I describe it? As if a wall of glass has been placed by the great hand of a God in the midst of the forest, and no living thing may pass. The trees crowd against their limit, aching to reach into the barren land, and their longing embitters them. They grow twisted, their bark black and limbs contorted.
Lauren EverdellPublished 2 years ago in Horror What To Do When You're Trapped in an Unsafe Scary Situation and There is No Escape
Whether it’s a natural disaster, a violent attack, or something else, these situations can be terrifying. It’s important to remember that there is always something you can do to increase your chances of survival. In this article, we’ll give you some tips on what to do when you find yourself in an unsafe, scary situation. We’ll help you assess the situation, stay calm, and make a plan to get to safety. Assess the situation: Before taking any action, it’s important to assess the situation and understand the level of danger you’re in. Here are some questions you can ask yourself to help you determine the situation: - Where are you? - What’s happening? - How can you escape? - What do you need? Stay calm: You might feel like panicking in a scary situation, but that is the worst thing you can do for yourself. Panic can cloud your judgment and make you more likely to make a mistake. It can also make you more likely to get injured. Here are a few ways to stay calm in a scary situation: - Breathe. Take a few deep breaths to bring your heart rate down. - Talk to yourself. Remind yourself that everything will be okay. - Don’t isolate. Stay close to other people who can help you stay calm. - Focus on one thing at a time. Don’t try to do everything at once. - Don’t use drugs or alcohol. They’ll only make your situation worse. - Stay positive. Think about something that makes you happy. Make a plan: Once you’ve assessed the situation, it’s time to make a plan. Your plan should include two things: how you can escape the situation, and how you can protect yourself while you wait for help to arrive. If you can, try to find a way out of the situation right away. If you’re trapped in a natural disaster, for example, you might be able to climb to higher ground. If you’re trapped in a building fire, you might be able to smash a window to escape. If you can’t escape, try to find a safe place to hide in the immediate area. If you’re in a violent attack, you should use any items you have to protect yourself. You can also ask other people in the area for help. Take action: Once you’ve made a plan and assessed the situation, you should take action. Here are a few tips on how to take action in a scary situation: - Safeguard your hands. If you’re in a violent situation, make sure you keep your hands away from your attacker’s reach. If possible, grab something to use as a shield, like a backpack or a book. - Find clean water. If you’re in a natural disaster, make sure you have access to clean water. - Stay in a safe place. If you’re in a natural disaster, make sure you’re in a safe spot. If you’re in a violent situation, stay away from places where you think the attack might escalate. - Stay close to medical facilities. If you need medical help, make sure you’re close to a place where you can receive treatment. - Stay close to people who can help you. If you need to call 911, find a place where you can stay safe while you wait for help. Get to safety: Finally, you want to find a way to get to safety. Here are some tips on how to do this: - Stay calm. If you’re near safety, stay calm and move slowly. You don’t want to set off any alarms or draw attention to yourself. - Find a safe place to hide. If you’re near safety but can’t get to a safe place to hide, find a spot where you can stay hidden. - Wait for help to arrive. Stay near medical facilities or wait for help to arrive if you need medical assistance. - Follow instructions. If you’re near safety and help has arrived, follow their instructions. Conclusion: These tips should help you stay calm and make a plan in any scary situation. Be sure to practice these tips, so that if you ever find yourself in a scary situation, you know what to do. You can also keep these tips in mind if you’re with other people who might be scared in a scary situation. Remember that you always have options, even if everything around you feels like it’s falling apart.
3 terrifying horror stories
# Story: 1 I was on my gap year, travelling around Europe with my best friend. We had just arrived in Prague and were looking for a place to stay. We found a hostel that looked perfect for us. It was our first night there and we were sharing a room with two other girls. We were all getting ready for bed and chatting. The girls told us that the hostel was supposedly haunted. They said that there had been reports of strange noises and sightings of ghosts. We all laughed and said that we didn't believe in ghosts. We said that we would be fine and went to bed. In the middle of the night, I was awoken by a noise. I sat up in bed and looked around the room. I couldn't see anything, but I could feel something watching me. I tried to go back to sleep, but the feeling was so strong that I couldn't. I got out of bed and turned on the light. I looked around the room, but there was nothing there. I woke up my friend and told her what was happening. She said that she had been having the same feeling. We decided to leave the room and go to reception. We didn't see anything on the way, but we could feel someone following us. We got to reception and told the night manager what was happening. He said that he would come and check our room. He came with us and went into the room. We all stood there in the doorway, but there was nothing there. The manager said that he didn't see anything and that we were probably just imagining things. We went back to our room and tried to sleep, but we couldn't. We could still feel someone watching us. Every time we closed our eyes, we saw a figure in the darkness. We were too scared to sleep, so we just sat there awake all night. In the morning, we packed our bags and left the hostel. We didn't say anything to the staff, we just wanted to get out of there. We never spoke about that night again, but we both know that we will never forget it.
2 Creepiest Haunted House Story
# Story: 1 The night was dark and stormy. The wind was howling and the rain was pouring. The trees were swaying and the branches were creaking. It was the perfect night for a ghost story. I was sitting by the fire with my two friends, Emma and Sarah. We were sharing scary stories and trying to scare each other. Emma told the story of the haunted house. She said that the house was built on an ancient burial ground and that the ghosts of the dead people haunted it. The pool in the house was also haunted by the spirits of drowned people. And the witches who lived in the house were the most evil and powerful creatures in the world. Sarah told the story of the human haunting witches. She said that these witches were the spirits of women who had been wronged in life. They haunt the living, seeking revenge. They are especially drawn to men who have done them wrong. I was about to tell my story when we heard a noise outside. It sounded like someone was walking around the house. We all got scared and ran upstairs to my room. We hid under the covers and tried to make ourselves as small as possible. The noise got louder and louder until it sounded like someone was right outside the door. We all held our breath, waiting for the door to burst open. But it didn't. After a few minutes, the noise stopped and we all breathed a sigh of relief. We decided to go downstairs and see what had made the noise. We carefully crept down the stairs, ready to run back upstairs at the first sign of danger. When we got to the bottom of the stairs, we saw the front door was open. We all froze in fear. Then, we heard footsteps coming towards the door.Someone was coming into the house! We didn't know what to do. We were about to run back upstairs when we heard a voice. It was a woman's voice, and she was singing. We all relaxed a little and decided to find out who the woman was. We followed the voice until we came to the living room. There, we saw a woman sitting in a chair by the fire. She was holding a book in her hands and singing softly to herself. We all stood in the doorway and stared at the woman. She looked up at us and smiled. Then she asked if we wanted to hear a story. We all nodded eagerly. The woman began to tell us a story about a group of witches who lived in a haunted house. These witches were the spirits of women who had been wronged in life. They haunt the living, seeking revenge. They are especially drawn to men who have done them wrong. As the woman told her story, we all felt ourselves getting more and more scared. But we couldn't look away. We were transfixed by her words. When she was finished, we all thanked her for the story. Then we ran upstairs and into my room. We all climbed into bed and tried to sleep. But we all had nightmares that night. The next morning, we woke up and realized it had all been a dream. But we all knew that the story was real. And we knew that we would never forget the woman who told it to us.
Top 3 Real Werewolf Cases
Werewolves are some of the most well-known monsters in the world. In fact, almost everyone knows what they are and what they look like. They’re hairy, greyish creatures that prowl around at night and feast on human flesh. And if you believe Hollywood, that’s pretty much all there is to know about werewolves. Of course, anyone with just a little bit of knowledge about real life knows that these beasts are not nearly as one-dimensional as their fictional counterparts would have us believe. While it’s true that most werewolf stories focus on people being bitten by one or contracting an illness called lycanthropy which causes them to transform into one whenever the moon is out. However, there have been several real-life cases which prove that things aren’t always so simple when it comes to these creatures of the night.
