51 Crow Street
Crow Street was Misty's favorite street. It was long and swerved like a snake as you drove along it. There were fields along the sides, while big barns and houses stood beside them. Rolls of hay covered the fields on one side while the other faced the water, laying out imagery so beautiful that people stopped to paint there quite often. At night it looked mesmerizing. There were barely any street lights so that you could see each of the stars above us. They twinkled in the night so bright you could see them over your headlights.
Review of 'Utopia' (British version)
I watched and reviewed the American version of Utopia -- the one season -- here on Vocal two years ago. I thought it had its moments, was right for the occasion of the COVID pandemic, but also had several things I didn't particularly like. Now, two years later, I barely remember it. Indeed, I wasn't thinking about it all until a friend, Mike Grynbaum, urged me to watch the 2013-2014 two-season British version. He said the 2020 American version was terrible, but the British version was right up my alley. He knows that I like to write, read, and watch the genre known as biological science fiction.

Roy was looking at his emptied room. He was filled with pride and nostalgia. He had lived in his apartment for 7 years. Straight out of high school, through the rough times of college, three failed relationships, and four lousy jobs. He said bye to the room, walked out, and hugged his former roommate one last time. His roommate gave him a bottle of alcohol and they parted ways. Roy was sad to leave but ecstatic to see his first house.
Christopher ShaversPublished 2 years ago in HorrorAt Midnight I'll Take Your Soul!
At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul! Is reputedly the first "horror film" produced in Brazil ( beyond maybe some snuff porno loops produced by organized crime and bandied about in urban legends). It's the product of one José Mojica Marins, a.k.a., the legendary "Coffin Joe," a horror filmmaker of no small repute in his homeland, who has been the subject of countless films, television programs, comic books, songs, you name it.
The Strange Tales of Killian Barger: The Little Ghost
The streets thrummed around him as Killian walked past droves of laughing children. The street lights buzzed placidly, and the moon was a full and watchful eye overhead. Around him, superheroes and princesses, ninjas and pop stars, soldiers, and sports players ran willy-nilly. It was the barely controlled chaos that Killian had missed on the other side. He had invited Dom to come out too, but Dom was out at an event with his Granddaughter, and Killian wouldn't have taken that away from him for the world.

Some just want to be surrounded by the warmth and vitality of humans again. Others . . . want to consume it.
