This Little Light Of Mine.
Frank Grey was now an old man. It had crept up on him slowly but surely. Each body part creaking now in diefoance of his will. At first it has been the odd twang of pain in a knee, or a steady shaking of a hand from too much drinking and the skin gradually loosened and sagged like a deflated ballon.

Limbo?
October 29th, 08:10 am It's a crisp October morning. I am running late for work. I do not like being late. I pick up speed. My heart feels heavier than the weight constantly attached to my shoulders. A weight in the form of a black figure, who's hands are constantly attached to my neck. She feeds from me. I have learned to ignore her, I try to forget she is there but I can always feel her, clutching to my body like a leech.

The Abandoned Home
The young couple decided to take a short cut down the overgrown path through the woods. They passed the polluted stream where they first met. The rusty old crumbling house is still by the edge of the road just outside of the woods. There was a broken porch swing just hanging by one side. There was glass from the shattered windows all over the ground. The old tattered and faded curtains that were all now white were blowing outside of the window. Five old scarecrows were still up in the yard. The straw was gone from the bigger male scarecrows right arm and leg. The hat had a piece torn off of it on the top. The stitched-on mouth was now only a partial mouth. The left side of the mouth was all that remained. There was no right eye left. Something was sticking out of his pocket. She noticed it every time that they would walk by the house.

A candle in a window to guide my way

The woman seems to be ashamed of her burnt body as I looked at her... from her head to her toes she moves in a drifting and slow pace... she tries to cover herself up with some type of linen. Outside of her tearing eyes, she was roasted to a crisp. I told her is okay.. you don’t need to feel ashamed... I somehow saw your death... I’m not here to hurt you... where am I? As I navigate through the familiar feeling house but I have no clue why I am there again and is ever changing....

Always Be Afraid of the Dark
"Good-night my sweet" Mum once said to me, "don't let the bed bugs bite". I watched her close the door, leaving me alone in the dark. At 10 years old I was finally experiencing life in my own "grown-up" room, no longer sharing with my younger brother. I would've been excited if it wasn't for the set of yellow eyes staring at me from the far corner. My mum burst in before they could get much closer, taking me in my arms as I finally stopped screaming.

The Convent on Blackmoor Hill
I remember the first time I stood gazing up at the convent on Blackmoor Hill. I was barely seven years old and I was helping my mother take some tinned food to give to the nuns’ foodbank collection. I stared up at those towering stone walls so dense and macabre, it reminded me of a prison I’d seen on TV. We couldn’t even go all the way into the convent, just into a long corridor which led to a hatch in the wall where we could leave our donations. I tried to peek through the gap at the nuns, desperate to understand why they remained hidden behind that wall. I never saw them, just a slightly withered hand, sweeping the box of donations away and behind the hatch.
