The Ditch Girl
It was a cool night in Autumn and I decided to go for a walk, to get away from all the frustrations of being the youngest of 7 kids in the home. I just felt overwhelmed always wanting to be alone, I would go for long walks and this night was no different, I walked out of my parent's house to clear my mind, I decided to go down the back ditch which was quieter than walking the sidewalk near the busy street, I had just needed some peace, Even though I was always told by my parents "not to walk back there alone" halfway down the ditch trail I realized it was way too quiet, I could see lights from nearby houses, as I walked further down the trail, a nervous feeling came upon me and the hair on my arms started to stand up hearing steps behind me, I ignored them thinking it was my older sister following me, I didn't think of looking back. I just sped up a little and could hear the steps coming closer towards me, and all of a sudden a slight moaning noise, Then a girls voice that had echoed a long"hello" I stopped in my steps, waiting to hear for more footsteps behind me as I slowly turned around, no one was there I heard this echo again, I ignored it thinking a joke was being played on me by my sister to scare me back home, continuing down the trail, the sounds of footsteps got louder behind me, I hear this echo "hello" again, chills were going down my back and arms, I continued walking I got close to the bridge to cross to the other side. all of a sudden there before my very eyes was this white smoke it started forming into a small female like shape with really long arms it had appeared to be looking at me with these red eyes that struck me as evil she says "Come with me " with her arms out,at this point I thought my eyes and were playing tricks on me, my imagination was just running wild so i thought, I rubbed my eyes a couple of times but this figure was still staring at me I froze staring back at her tears started falling from my eyes going down my cheeks, fear came upon me I backing away slowly facing her, Her sobbing and moaning continued I didn't want to take my eyes off her thinking she would come after me if i turned away, her arms stayed opened out in front of her, continuing to walk backwards towards my home she appeared closer wanting me to go with her,my thought were that "id never get home fast enough walking backwards", praying was all i could do knowing I had to turn away at some point to make sure I was in the right back yard, I started to scream loudly"Please stop! I turned around and started running away still screaming in fear I attracted my neighbour and my sister with my screaming, I fell to the floor once I reached the yard "shes following me", i keep yelling, my sister looked at me and says "Now you know," my neighbour while comforting me says "You saw her too" all kids on the block have all had an encounter with this girl "Emily" is her name and In the 1980s she died in a car wreck she fell out of her families car drowning in the water a few feet away from the back of our yard, and that her soul is stuck looking to take people into the water, to drown as she did so she wont be alone. I'd heard about her before, thinking it was just a story to keep us inside our yards. After it was explained to me why this happened, I couldn't sleep I had nightmares of this girl off and on for the last 25 yrs, she still haunts my dreams and I can never forget what she taught me, not all ghosts and spirits want to be alone, and for that reason, I never walk anywhere alone at night, neither will my kids, no matter what every place and every piece of the land has a history, no matter how fast or far you run the story will be told.

He cursed himself a third time for not halting prior to the gate and making the remaining distance, though slower, on foot. The woman would have been easy enough to hide, but there was no disguising a 2 sizes too big wolf, or it's disappearance into thin air after she dismounted. He didn't need to look behind him to know they had picked up an ever growing train of curious demons.

The Ghosts of Finland
The Owner Is Still On Watch Burgher's House in Helsinki is the oldest wooden house and today it is a museum. It lets visitors see how a middle-class family lived in the 1860s. You can see most of the original furnishings. The house also comes with a ghostly spirit. The former owner Alexander Wickholm has never left his home, After he passed on the boulder in the garden which was his favorite spot to sit was moved and placed next to his gravestone. It was after this that people started hearing noises in the house. Perhaps the ghostly apparition did not like to find his boulder moved from its original spot which was under the kitchen window. After the boulder was replaced the noises stopped but people have said that you can see a man either by the window or sitting in the garden.
