Will Sonny and or Cyrus pay for Julian's murder on 'General Hospital'

Criminals often get away with killing people in Port Charles but William deVry fans desire justice.

William deVry fans continue to be loyal to the actor even after he was let go from his role as Julian Jerome. He seems too have accepted his situation and is moving on from General Hospital but those who love deVry and Julian have not. There is a petition that has garnered over 5,000 signatures of those who want Frank Valentini to bring back the former mob boss. There is also an outcry from social media for Sonny and Cyrus to pay for their crimes against Mr. Jerome. Julexis devotees are demanding justice but there is no way to know how this will play out.

Jason has "eliminated" many people and never spent one day in jail for it. Valentin Cassadine blew up a boat with Cassandra Pierce on it and seems to have gotten away with it. Julian was still breathing after the hitman shot him but seemed to die instantly after Sonny put a gun in his gut. General Hospital lovers continue to indicate they don't want the show to turn into The Godfather but the writers are tone deaf when it comes to this issue. Even though the majority of those who watch the ABC daytime drama are tired of mob violence, they are saying that Sonny and Cyrus need to be held accountable for their actions.

In 3 decades of Maurice Bernard portraying Michael Corinthos Jr., he has never pulled the amount of time that he should have based on his many crimes. Attorney Diane Miller always works her magic for Sonny and Jason and now Cyrus is buying up the town, so he looks like a good guy. The thing is that there is no one in Port Charles who believes that Julian deserves justice. Ava is sad about her sibling but thankful that she can live her life without his drama getting in the way. She now wants to be the Cassadine princess and make nice with Sonny because of Avery. The writers are clearly rehabilitating Ms.Jerome but would not do the same for her older sibling.

The chances of Sonny or Cyrus being connected to Julian's death are slim unless the one bullet can be traced back to Mr. Corinthos. If there is video footage near the bridge, then it will show exactly what happened. Cyrus however will be in the clear because his hitman is dead and nothing can be traced back to him. General Hospital fans feel about Renault as they once did about the cult leader Shiloh. They believe he is taking up too much time and space on the show and want him gone.

There seems to be some confusion regarding a statement that William deVry posted on Twitter. He stated that if his character died, he would not be back on General Hospital. This sounded as if the actor was saying that he would be done with the character once he was killed off and if asked to return he would say no. Last week, however, after Julian's humiliating final scenes aired, deVry explained his comment. He said that he was trying to warn the fans that the manner in which Julian passed away left no doubt that the character was dead. He was alluding to the fact that Julian was shot twice and pulled from the water and shown in a body bag.

Some viewers believe that deVry is angry over the way General Hospital handled Julian during the past year and the fact that he was written out of the show. These fans stand by the way they first perceived the statement, which is that William deVry is not going to allow the powers that be on the ABC daytime drama to jerk him around. In spite of this, the petition is gaining signatures and a number of fans believe that Julian and his portrayer both got a raw deal. The same is being said for Emme Rylan who departed the show as Lulu Spencer.

Rylan has made it clear that she was open to returning to Port Charles and with her character in a coma, the door is left open. When it comes to Julian however, the chances seem slim that he could come back to the land of the living without a miracle. Perhaps Helena Cassadine might return from the dead and Nikolas have her to perform one of her experiments on Julian and restore him. Nikolas is head over heels for Ava and would do anything for her. The problem with this would be that Julian is responsible for his sister's condition as well as the deaths of two people in the explosion.

There is also the fact that Lucas and Sam hate their father and Cyrus would still be out for revenge. Sonny might be grateful if Julian somehow came back to life because he would be off the hook for his murder. It looks like the writers boxed Mr. Jerome into a position where it would be near impossible for him to return. Soap fans, however, realize that you never say never, so keep in mind that anything is possible, even Cyrus and Sonny getting away with murder.
