On Wednesday, December 30, there will be two familiar faces on The Young and the Restless. Jason Canella and Eva Larue will reprise their roles as Arturo and Celeste Rosales. Rey’s brother and mother will be in Genoa City for his wedding to Sharon. There has been nothing said about Noemi Gonzalez returning as Mia Rosales who was married to Rey but had a baby with Arturo. Gonzalez is currently appearing in the Netflix program Selena the Series as Suzette, the sister of the late singer. When Larue was last in Genoa City, some fans thought her character might be a possible love interest for Jack.

At this time spoilers are saying that Sally Spectra might be interested in Mr, Abbott and viewers are overwhelmingly in disagreement. It's not known if Lola will have a lot of contact with her mother and her sibling. They have not been in town since she and Kyle divorced so this could become a topic of conversation. Perhaps Celeste will allow the day to be about Sharon and Rey and won't grill her daughter about the details of the failed marriage. She could always talk to Jack about his son and her daughter which might get the two of them together at least for a moment.

Soap Dirt had said that Arturo might show up around Christmas and be in town for about a week but that did not happen. The wedding is supposed to take place on New Year's Eve so it's possible that Celeste and her son will only be around for that one day which begins on Wednesday, December 30. Celeste came to Genoa City when her daughter married Kyle Abbott but she did not stick around long to the disappointment of Eva Larue fans. Arturo first showed up when he was working for Nick and having an affair with Nikki. During this time Victor and his wife were supposed to be in an open marriage and most fans were disgusted.

That storyline quickly ended and Arturo began dating Abby Newman, Nikki's stepdaughter. This meant that he had been sleeping with both Victor's wife and his daughter. Abby and Arturo became engaged but she broke it off when she found out that he had slept with Mia who was still married to Rey. Mia found out she was pregnant and was not sure who fathered her child. A paternity test indicated that Rey's brother was the daddy so Arturo and Mia went back to Miami. It was later announced that the baby was a boy. Lola went back and forth to Miami so many times that viewers thought she was going to move there and be written out of The Young and the Restless.

There had been quite a bit of animosity between the Rosales brothers but with Arturo attending the wedding, it all must be water under the bridge at this point. It has been more than a year since Celeste and Arturo were in Genoa City and a lot has changed. No storyline has been revealed but only that the duo will be in town for Rey and Sharon's wedding. Things could become a bit awkward, especially if Victor, Nikki, Kyle or Summer is in attendance. Even if none of them were invited, it will be enough to see Abby and Arturo in the same room. He tried so hard to get her to forgive him but she refused.

Soap Dirt spoilers say an unexpected guest will crash Rey and Sharon's wedding but do not say who it will be, Is it possible that Adam will try to stop the nuptials? It's not likely that Mia will drop in with the baby since Noemi Gonzalez is working on the Netflix series, but you never know. The spoiler also suggests that Rey might need to keep an eye on Abby's ex-fiance but Arturo probably will not be the cause of any trouble. Long time viewers know that there is always drama on New Year's Eve, as well as during most Y&R weddings. Be sure to tune in this week to find out who causes the fireworks.
