Two popular couples in Genoa City will soon double date

Soaps She Knows spoilers for The Young and the Restless have some exciting news for the long suffering viewers. Fan favorites Michael and Lauren will be double dating with sn equally popular couple, Paul and Christine on Monday December 23. Keep in mind that air times have been off by a day since the impeachment hearings were televised. For this reason the episode may not air until the following day,

Faithful viewers know that both couples became practically non exist when Mal Young was in charge. When Josh Griffith became head writer both couples were seen a bit more in Genoa City and then they disappeared again. Lauren and Michael were going to take down Adam but nothing came of it. Christine dropped out of sight and Paul only shows up when he has to make an arrest. A few weeks back, Jack returned to Jabot as CEO and named his son and Lauren co-COOs. Last week Kyle talked his father into making him a co-CEO. Jack said he would talk to Lauren about the update but she has not once been seen.

Jack, Theo, Kyle, and Summer have all been shown working at Jabot. Mariah, Phyllis, and Victor have paid recent visits to John Abbott’s company. Lauren who has been in top management, first with Phyllis, next as co-COO and now carrying the position alone has not had her face in the place or given any feedback. Fenmore Baldwin is returning to Genoa City prior to the holidays which will give his parents more visibility. What is not understood by longtime viewers is why they see so little of these popular characters.

Doug Davidson stated on Twitter that he was returning to The Young and the Restless on a recurring basis, and implied it was the decision of the powers that be. Sadly Y&R execs seems to have made his character Paul, practically non existent. I cannot find anything regarding why Lauralee Bell only shows up once in a blue moon. This could possibly be her own personal choice. It’s also not known whether or not Christian Leblanc and Tracy Bergman are on back burner by choice or by force.

Fans will be disappointed if the Baldwin’s and the Williams’s are showcased for a few episodes then never seen again, considering that other less popular characters are taking up much screen time. Viewers are expressing on Social media that they are tired of Conner Newman and his bad behavior, and don’t like that Chance and Amanda are being showcased so much. Theo is another unpopular character that many “Y&R” devotees have said they wished had gone to Paris.

Tessa was popular but Cait Fairbanks was dropped to recurring status. This leaves Mariah running all over town getting into Summer, Kyle, and Theo’s business. Viewers seem to enjoy Lola but she basically only comes out of the kitchen I’m that gray jacket, then heads towards the bedroom when Kyle gets home. The fact this character is so under developed could spell the handwriting in the wall for Kola.

In the meantime, the writers can always choose to give Michael, Lauren, Paul and Chris bigger roles in Genoa city if that’s what the actors desire. The viewers of course would be very happy. While they are at it give more air time to Kevin and Chloe who spoilers say will announce they are pregnant during the holidays. Bring back Esther and Hloria to fuss over the new addition and give their input where everyone else is concerned. This would really bring back the glory days in Genoa City.
