The last month of the year is finally coming to our doorsteps. Christmas is here and the year is meeting its end. Before we can truly say goodbye to 2020. let's make the most of the year by watching new korean dramas that could be our new favorites. While the virus going on has been unpredictable, the release dates of these dramas are truly affected by the pandemic so just a little disclaimer: Let's not keep a sad face, time to bring in the energy and hope the following dramas will air before the year ends!

1. True Beauty

Can you survive going out without makeup? For our upbeat female lead, she can't. This high schooler is an expert in putting on makeup and she doesn't want to be seen barefaced in public. She holds the title of being one of the prettiest girls in class causing her to truly live up to that and hide what she really looks like without makeup. Entering her life is a handsome student who excels in class and in basketball. Girls are head over heels for this guy. Both keeping secrets, how will our male and female lead get by together. We are definitely in for a treat because Cha Eun Woo will be back on our small screens and you know what that means. Here's to more swooning moments. As if one attractive man isn't enough, True Beauty will present us Hwang In Yeop. We will be getting some second lead syndrome. We are excited to watch how the story unfolds and get emotional with Moon Ga Yeong's character as her life gets caught up in between these two handsome men.

2. City Couple's Way of Love: My Lovable Camera Thief

This is not a drill! Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won are starring together in a drama. Fans are overexcited ever since the drama confirmed that they will be the lead characters in City Couples Way Of Love: My Lovable Camera Thief. To put the cherry on top, this romance drama is directed by the same director of It's Okay To Not Be Okay, a drama that captured our hearts this 2020. Will this drama become a favorite too? Let's enter the real world of trying to survive in a busy city and trying to find love. Showing what really happens in the dating lives of young people, City Couples Way Of Love: My Lovable Camera Thief will give us a story about an architect and a freelancer. Our male lead is an architect who loves the city streets. One summer night he will have his heart captured by a woman who he just can't seem to forget. Meanwhile our female lead is a freelance marketer who unexpectedly hid her own identity and pretended to be another person.

3. Run On

Run On tells the story of a popular sprinter and a writer. Due to a case, a famous sprinter who is part of the national team will no longer continue in this sport. Because of this, he starts working as a sports agent. Entering his life is a woman who writes subtitle translations for movies. The two crossed paths just when our male lead quit his sport so our female lead will take this as a sign that they were destined to meet. Will you watch this drama because of Im Si Wan or Shin Se Kyung? Or both? For us it's both and maybe also because of Choi Soo Young too. Where are our girls generation fans here? On the other hand viewers have halved into two as others show excitement while others don't find the plot may be interesting enough. Let's just keep in mind that there are lots of dramas that wowed us when they were currently airing so if you're having some second thoughts on this drama why not just give it a try?

4. Secret Royal Inspector: Joseon Secret Investigation Team

Let's go back into the Joseon era and watch a historical drama this December. Secret Royal Inspector Joseon's Secret investigation Team tells the story of someone who placed first in the state examination. Currently working at the administrative and research department, his life will take a turn as he gets caught gambling and receives punishment for this act. Now assigned as a royal inspector our male lead is out to get rid of corruption and illegal doings. Helping him out is a female inspector who will join our male lead in solving cases. We surely like our historical dramas with some thriller and mystery. To make it better Secret Royal Inspector Joseon's Secret Investigation Team has some comedy added to it. And guess who's part of the cast? it's Lee Yi Kyung! He totally gave us endless laughter and good vibes in his role in 'Welcome to Waikiki' so how will he make us laugh this time? We totally can't wait to see him bring us funny lines in a historical setting.

5. If You Cheat, You Die

A comic mystery thriller is coming on our small screens this December. If You Cheat You Die is a drama about a best-selling writer who creates crime stories. This novelist only thinks of ways on how to kill people and create great murder cases. She is married to a lawyer specializing in divorce who wrote a memorandum with the title, 'If You Cheat You Die.' Viewers are curious on how the story will be told. The drama is about adults who do bad things with guilt, so we are getting some badass characters here and maybe some smart characters too, since we have a novelist and a lawyer. With the male leads memorandum and the female leads constant thinking of how to create the perfect murder and crime stories, is our male lead scared that his wife might bring her ideas in real life if he cheats on her? The only way to find out about this drama story is to put it on your watch list.

6. Hush

If we have a school and a historical drama for December, of course we'll be having an office drama too, so yay! Hush is an office drama that circles around newspaper reporters and the battles they face every day. Rolling on our screens is a veteran reporter whose goal is to pursue justice but will find himself caught up in choosing between idealism and pragmatism. Adding more problems in his life he needs to deal with his personal issues. Looking up to him is an intern reporter who is not afraid to speak up. Another win for fans of Girls Generation because here's another member of the group with an upcoming drama. Not only is Im Yoona taking over concert stages but our talented girl is also putting us in awe in the world of acting as she continues to play many lead roles. Her character in Hush is a bold intern reporter so are you excited to see her play a brave role?

December is finally meeting us, what Korean dramas will you be spending your time with? Let's talk about them in the comments section down below! Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!
