Anime to Watch: JJBA: ‘Phantom Blood’
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is insane. The characters, the stories, and most importantly, the hairstyles. I’ve never watched such a fun, engrossing anime, and naturally it’s my favorite of all time. A great thing about JoJo is that each season has a different protagonist and story. As time goes on, the descendants of the titular Joestar family fight all sorts of villains and get into, dare I say, bizarre adventures. Basically, everything you need to know is in the title. The first season is a little different in that it encompasses both the first and second arcs of the Joestar story. The first part, Phantom Blood, is only nine episodes long, but I wanted to separate it from the second part, Battle Tendency. They’re both so different and amazing for different reasons, so it’s only right to give them each their own time to shine. We’ll call this one the first in my Jojo review series, since I’ll do a review for each part.

Flashpoint Paradox: Professor Zoom Needs a History Lesson
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is a DC fan favorite. It catapults the DC Animated Movie Universe, is a phenomenal adaption of the Geoff Johns' comic, and introduces the non-comic book reading audience to Flashpoint Batman! We also get a brief, but mesmerizing glimpse into the sheer evil of Professor Zoom. A true sociopath! However, it is near the end of the film, with what he says that is a bit troubling. We finally learn what created this alternate Earth, and he challenges Barry Allen's selfish action. Many may think Professor Zoom has a point. But really...does he?

Wonderstorm Animated Series 'The Dragon Prince' Renewed for Four More Seasons
Fans of the Wonderstorm-produced The Dragon Prince, an animated fantasy series, have gotten their wish and more. The series made its debut on Netflix in September 2018 and has gained a loyal following, with some perceiving it as a spiritual successor to the beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender. Even setting aside the fact that it was co-created by Avatar: The Last Airbender head writer and executive producer Aaron Ehasz, as well as the fact that Sokka voice actor Jack DeSena voices Callum here, The Dragon Prince has a similar type of humor that complements the fleshed-out world that it inhabits.

Avatar Sequel "Legend of Korra" Will Stream On Netflix Next Month
Once again, Avatar fans are given great news in regards to Netflix bringing the Avatar franchise under its wing. While the exciting news of a live-action series is being released, other benefits have shown themselves as well. On May 18th, Netflix added the original series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, to their available shows to stream. This resulted in the show being on the ten most-watched TV series chart on the site. Lasting for two months, this set a record as the longest holding show by having a top ten spot for sixty consecutive days since the introduction of the top ten list in February 2020. The Last Airbender beat the runner-up show, Ozark, by three consecutive days.

Best TV Shows on Amazon Prime Pt.2
Upload Imagine a sci-fi version of The Good Place, and you have Upload. But what makes this Amazon original series special is its creator Greg Daniels, who you might also know as the guy who created and ran the American version of The Office and co-created Parks and Recreation. Daniels’ penchant for blending comedy with romance is alive and well in Upload, which takes place in a near-future in which humans have the ability to have their consciousness uploaded into a digital afterlife—provided they can afford it. When a programmer (Robbie Amell) dies and uploads, he has trouble adjusting to his swanky new afterlife while also dealing with his shallow (and still living) girlfriend and romantic feelings for his customer service representative. Oh, and he may or may not be trying to figure out if he was murdered. Comedy, romance, and a mystery, Upload has it all, and since the show has been renewed for a second season, you can rest assured the finale cliffhanger will be resolved.

5 Best TV Shows on Amazon Prime
Mr. Robot If you’ve heard nothing but ecstatic praise for Mr. Robot, let me be the 22nd to tell you: it’s true, it’s all true. Few single seasons of television distinguish themselves so quickly from the glut of familiar, visually dull dramas that networks churn out with the efficiency of a cat-food-canning operation as Mr. Robot, which follows the doings of a deeply unstable hacker named Elliot living in a small Manhattan apartment. Creator Sam Esmail, who took on the series after his fascinating yet facile romantic drama Comet, cleverly creates a distinct fictional world where the world is all-but-owned by Evil Corp, or E Corp, which has a logo that suggests a riff off of several bank logos, most noticeably Bank of America, and its potency is bolstered by nuanced characters and alluring, clever visuals. The shots throughout the season are pointedly off-kilter, placing characters in corners or to the side often, bringing out the displacement and alienation that our hero (the intensely engaging Rami Malek) is increasingly overwhelmed by. The exquisite editing stirs these images up into a bewitching spell of aesthetics and ruminative, rigorous performances from Malek, Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, and Martin Wallstrom as Elliot’s friendly nemesis at Evil Corp. Even as the show’s second season has hit some dull moments, the spell Mr. Robot casts remains intoxicating.
