Book Review: A Court of Silver Flames (ACOSF) by Sarah J Maas
'A Court of Silver Flames' (ACOSF) by Sarah J. Maas does not follow Feyre Archeron, who was our leading lady for the past few books. Instead ACOSF follows Feyre's older sister, Nesta Archeron, and Illyrian warrior and brother of Rhysand, Cassian. Both Nesta and Cassian go on a journey of self-healing and make the transition from enemies to lovers. Now that is not a spoiler, we all saw it coming. And oh wow do they become lovers - this book is spicier than all of the others.

Peacemaker: Ep 4
'Peacemaker' (HBO max series) continues in the same fashion established in the first few episodes; with humorous content, great action, good character work and including very 'woke approved' themes. Unfortunately (in my opinion) it continues to maintain the reliance that Peacemaker has on his handlers - he is definitely more focused on his personal struggles, which is highlighted & compounded by his recurring stupidity. Not enough for me to cease watching (yet), but enough to ensure that I'm regularly considering whether it's consistent for his character definition & development and/or just there to push others into the limelight.

My Review of "Prisoners"
Prisoners is a movie that I've been wanting to check out for a long time. It came out back in 2013. Since then the director Denis Villeneuve has made blockbuster film after blockbuster film. Each one equally as great as the next. I already had high expectations for this movie but I didn't expect to be blown away as I did.

The Triumphs & Tribulations of "Dune"
Hello readers and welcome to 2022! I figured I’d start this new year off with a brand-new film, so let’s delve into why I quite liked Denis Villeneuve’s 2021 film… Dune. This piece will tackle the visuals and sounds one usually finds in Villeneuve’s films, we of course need to talk about the star-studded cast, and last but not least, the aspects of the film I didn’t like.

Hoping that an advanced weather system will be successful, the future of tornado warnings could be different.

Review of 'Magic Lessons'
A prequel, of sorts, to Practical Magic and The Rules of Magic, Magic Lessons takes us back to where the Owens family troubles began. Maria Owens, a young witch in the 1600s, learns the steep price of magic and unrequited obsession when she is unexpectedly spurned. Perfect for new readers of Hoffman who haven't yet read the previous two books in the series, Magic Lessons is a wonderfully enjoyable entry for both the dedicated fan and the new booklover.

Eternals is a rare misfire from Marvel.
Marvel has had a string of massive successes. Eternals had all the makings to be yet another. Unfortunately it was not and it has become the first rotten film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are plenty of reasons why this movie did not connect with me.

My Review of "Resident Evil 2 (2019)"
Resident Evil 2 (2019) is the remake I was kind of dreading when they first announced it. I thought they would be totally rehashing the game with new graphics. That wasn't the case with this game. Soon I would realize I was playing the game all over again in a new perspective. It's not just a remake this is an absolute overhaul. I recognize a lot of it but it's not quite the same.

Five reasons you should watch a Humphrey Bogart Movie
“I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship” It’s 65 years since Bogie left this mortal coil, and yet regularly people refer to his movies as classics. Now you don’t need to be a film noir buff or a hipster to get something out of one of his films. Personally, I always watch them and find myself thinking that I was born about 70 years too late. So, for everyone else out there, why should you watch the movies starring a guy that died probably before your parents were born? Or why should you re-watch them? Let’s explore.
