Hollywood has officially ground to a halt. The failure from the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) to meet the new contract terms set forth by the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (Aka SAG-AFTRA), has prompted the latter organisation to join the Writer's Guild of America on Strike. While many projects had already pressed pause due to the Writer's Strike, SAG-AFTRA's Strike means that actors belonging to the Screen Actor's Guild have stopped work, and therefore nearly all Film and Television production has ceased. Guild actors will also not promote past or upcoming work as long as the Strike continues, which means no glitzy Red Carpet premieres, or talk show appearances.

Space Buns: The Erasure of Women's History and BIPOC Culture
“I love when you put space buns in your hair! They are always so cute!”. I heard this quite a bit in high school. When my hair got long enough after shaving it, I sported the space buns look often. Even as I got older, I still put the two buns on the side of my head, even adding strands of hair on the sides to give me a Katara of the Southern Watertribe esque look. The last time I wore these buns was just as recent as a few months ago, and I got the same Space buns compliment from a coworker. But I didn’t know why they were called that, space buns, and I didn’t really care to know.

SUMMARY The Marvels trailer refutes criticism that Carol Danvers is emotionally cold, showcasing her softer side and nurturing nature through her care for Goose and her flerken kittens. Carol's military background and societal expectations explain her serious and unemotional demeanor at work, but her love for her pet shows a different side. Carol's partnership with Ms. Marvel and Photon hints at her taking on a leadership role and embracing a newfound family, marking a significant change from her presumed destiny of being a lone hero.

For us day 2 was Saturday and though it was slightly less busy then Friday we were still kind of running around a lot. We ended Saturday at about 13,000 steps and my hips were killing me by the end of the day. We not only got a lot of panels and things done, but I got to do some networking and we finally made our way to the exhibit floor.

Of course, San Diego Comic Con was the most amazing nerd experience. After about 10 years of my father and I trying desperately to get tickets, and failing, I finally got to go as press with Intermyth and Temple of Geek. I was also able to get my father a pass and made both of our nerd dreams come true. The weekend was packed and when the schedule was released I had a very difficult time deciding what we were actually going to go to.
