The Fast and the Furious: Impact of a Legend.
The summer of 2001 was without a doubt one of my favorite summers as a kid. I remember being at summer camp, going to the beach, going to the zoo, getting a visit from my grandparents and all the great music and movies that came out at that time. One of the top five most memorable movies from that summer that all action adventure junkies were excited about was The Fast and the Furious, starring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker.

Trucker - A Movie Review
If you want to know what the life of a trucker is like, it’s a lot of driving. Trucker rode off the highway into theaters in 2008. A woman who chose life to be free and reckless has to look after her estranged son. While on the road, Diane and 11-year-old Peter work through their tension to create a bond.

Five Things Movie Makers Should Just Stop
If you watch a lot of movies, and I do, you know that there are trends over time in how movies are made. Studios, directors, writers, designers - all fall victim to the tendency to look around and see what other people are doing, and then copy it. Occasionally this is a good thing, more often it just leads to lazy movie making. And every now and then, it's downright ridiculous.

Movie Review: 'Chip N Dale: Rescue Rangers' is Deeply Misguided
The underlying story of Disney’s Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers reboot is human trafficking. Before you freak out and tell me I’m overreacting, hear me out. The plot of the new Chip N’ Dale Rescue Rangers has the newly reunited chipmunk friends searching for their missing friend, Monterey Jack. Jack has been kidnapped by a nefarious gang, his face has been altered, and he’s been sold to an overseas animation company to star in knockoff cartoons against his will.

Movie Review: 'Firestarter' Remake Flames Out
The remake of Firestarter is the result of what I call, I.P mining. The idea is to take a relatively memorable property from the past, attach a young movie star, and rake in the profits. That’s the goal anyway. Whether the re-makers of Firestarter will profit from their I.P mining is something only time and box office will tell. What I can tell you about the makers of Firestarter 2022 is that their movie recycling is more akin to composting. It stinks.

Movie Review: 'On the Count of Three' is a Terrific Directorial Debut for Jerrod Carmichael
Mental health experts will tell you that suicidal people will seem happier right before they take their life. It doesn’t always happen that way, but in most cases euphoria sets in once death is certain. The dark dramatic comedy, On the Count of Three, from star and director Jerrod Carmichael, pictures suicide from a different perspective. On the Count of Three is a suicide comedy, a dark comedy, of course, and it captures the kind of feelings mental health experts see in suicidal patients.

Avatar 2 Will Save Theaters
Movie theaters are closing down, ticket prices are skyrocketing, the price of popcorn is staggering, streaming services are dominating the competition, and piracy is never-ending. All this can be defined as a crisis in movie theaters.

Top Gun: The Lost Pilot. Top Story - May 2022.
Who doesn’t want to be Maverick? In Tony Scott’s Top Gun Pete Mitchell was the epitome of the glorious warrior, as skilled as he was wild. Who doesn’t want to question authority, live beyond the rules, fly too close to the Sun? That’s the catch of course: Maverick is also Icarus, Maverick is Achilles, the hero felled by his own flaw — though it’s his best friend, Goose, who falls from the sky. Cruise, it’s worth noting, has wondered whether a contemporary studio would tolerate Goose’s death, if the movie were made today. “Can you imagine? Today, you’d have a hard time killing Goose,” he has said. “There would be a lot of discussion about killing Goose. You’d go to test screenings, and they would tell us, ‘They hate it when Goose dies! He’s such a likeable character! You’ve got to cut that out of the movie.’”
