Jane Foster's Thor
With the newest Thor movie being released soon I think it's important to shed some light on Jane Foster’s Thor. Now there are some internet fanboys who have a fundamental problem with Jane taking the mantle, but those children are wrong. Many people that aren’t the actual God of Thunder have taken the hammer and therefore wielded his power.

Book vs Movie: A Clockwork Orange
The first time read A Clockwork Orange was quite a few years ago. I'm not sure where my copy is and don't remember which version it is. This time around I had a library ebook, the complete original version of the novel. Until reading the introduction, I hadn't even realized there were different versions. Apparently, the American publisher decided not to include the final chapter when it was first published. This is the version the film was based on. It seems like a minor difference, but it does change the character arc of the protagonist Alex.

Movie Review: 'Clara Sola' is Strange and Fascinating
Clara Sola is a bold, strange and mysterious movie about faith, sexuality, and the senses. It’s the story of a childlike woman of about 40 years old who may or may not be a healer. The woman’s mother believes that her daughter is the living embodiment of the Virgin Mary but the woman, Clara, would prefer to live a normal life, one unencumbered by her mother’s expectations and the requirements of a virgin healer/savior.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: What's Next For The Film's Major Players?
With the arrival of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on Disney Plus, many fans are rewatching the film. While some watch just for enjoyment, many have other goals in mind on repeat viewings, such as going through scenes with a fine-tooth comb to pick up Easter eggs they may have missed out on the first time around, or gathering new evidence for their latest theory.

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Life after the Endgame.
It's been three years since Avengers: Endgame hit theaters and not only became the biggest Marvel film of all time, but the highest grossing film ever. It's not hard to understand why Endgame became the film ever, it's conception was over a decade in the making. Avengers: Endgame marked the end of the first generation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and though Marvel had great success with Spiderman: Far From Home just a mere month's time later, the impact of the eventual 2020 Pandemic would make it nearly 2 years before the MCU would grace the world with its net release.

The Forgotten Star of Top Gun
Kelly McGillis was much too tall for Tom Cruise. She was 5'11". He was 5'7". Besides, she was 27 and he was 24 and the difference was palpable. After I saw them together for a “chemistry meeting” on the Paramount lot, I walked away conclusively uttering, “She looks like his mother.” Top Gun was a Paramount production in 1984, long before Tom Holland at 5’8 and Zendaya at 5’10” walked blithely down the red carpet for Spiderman No Way Home, breaking “stupid’ (according to Tom Holland) stereotypes of height between guys and gals. It was fine when Kelly McGillis starred opposite Harrison Ford in Witness (her first movie for Paramount) but Harrison was 6’1”. Demi Moore was in rehab and the insurance company deemed her (at that time) “uninsurable”. Later, Cruise and Moore were magnetic in the 1992 production of A Few Good Men. Click here to win 1 year free netflix subscription In the old days at Paramount, we made three picture deals with unestablished actors. We guaranteed the first picture but had options for them for two more. If they became a star off a Paramount movie, we had the advantage of two more negotiated deals at a fair price (at least from the studio’s perspective). It was standard practice for Paramount and that’s how it started with Eddie Murphy in 48 Hours and Kelly McGillis in Witness. We did 10 successful movies back-to-back pictures with Eddie. But during that tenure, Eddie’s fees went from $75k to 10 million plus significant participations in the profit. As a Paramount executive, I oversaw Eddie’s deal as well as Kelly’s deal. Over a period of four years, we made our three pictures with Kelly — Witness, Top Gun, and The Accused. Over her term, her fees went from $125K to $500K. I was the executive on Top Gun but the producers, Tom Cruise , the director Tony Scott and the head of the studio, Ned Tanen would not consider screen testing Kelly and Tom to see how they “played” on screen. The screen carried its own mysteries. If the fiction of them as a couple worked on screen, that was the “truth”. Nothing else mattered.

‘Crimes of the Future’ Movie Review
After eight years of hiatus, legendary filmmaker David Cronenberg returns to the director’s chair with Crimes of the Future. In an unspecified later day, almost every human being on Earth has evolved to no longer feel pain. Because of this, people have become obsessed with mutilating their own bodies for the intense sensation, because, as one character puts it, “surgery is the new sex.” One of the last remaining people to still experience pain is Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen), who lives in almost perpetual agony. His body is constantly growing superfluous organs, and he and his partner, Caprice (Léa Seydoux), have taken the modern performance art scene by storm by turning the removal of these organs into an exhibition. When Lang (Scott Speedman), a man whose son was recently murdered, asks to have him publicly dissected during their act, Saul and Caprice are both intrigued and suspicious.
