Fred Flintstone, Alan Reed and Yabba Dabba Doo

Fred Flintstone, Alan Reed and Yabba Dabba Doo

Yabba Dabba Doo Fred Flintstone is widely known for shouting "Yabba Dabba Doo" but not many people may realize where his trademark comment originated. It actually came from the mother of the man who brought Fred to life. Alan Reed who voiced the iconic caveman is the one who came up with the popular phrase. Reed stated that his mom often would say "A little dab will do ya." He tweaked it and history was made. "A little dab will do you" came from the Brill Creme shaving cream television commercials that originated in the 1950's, which I viewed in the 1960s and 1970s. I had no idea that Fred Flinstone's signature phrase was related.

‘General Hospital’ should bring back Ellie Trout Spinelli

General Hospital fans are excited that Bradford Anderson has returned to Port Charles as Damian Spinelli. The Jackel is assisting Jason and Sam in getting information to take down Maxi’s baby daddy. On Monday as Spinelli was taunting Peter about having Drew murdered, Mr. August mentioned Ellie by name. Spinelli has been back in town for several months and his wife is supposed to have a job in Port Charles but no one has seen her. This has some fans assuming that Spinelli will be reunited with his Maximista., but others desire to have Emily Wilson back on the ABC daytime drama. The Spineli’s went through a lot to maintain their marriage and they also were raising little Georgie together in Portland.

My Take on "The Batman" Trailer

My Take on "The Batman" Trailer

WARNING: This is not a shot by shot breakdown. This is my feelings and opinions and impressions based on what I saw. Here we go again, a new reboot, a new actor and still no campy-ness. I will be the first person to admit I loved the old campy Batman films! Tim Burton started it all with 1984's Batman and whoo boy! After I had watched Batman: The Animated Series based on this campy telling of the Batman comic books I was in love. I loved the aesthetic the art deco style really captured my imagination and made is a bit spooky for me as a kid. I loved the music it could get me excited like the main theme, could make me scared. The music that plays over the scene of Joker's henchmen driving the trash barges in the episode The Last Laugh is a great example. I then watched the movies, and I loved them. Whether it was Michael Keaton, George Clooney or Val Kilmer, who played Batman I loved the comic book feeling of those films. I loved Batman up until the Nolan films. I could go on and on about the animated series and the pre-Nolan Batman films. That could be another article all on its own. This article is to talk about the trailer for the new film, The Batman.

The Men of Narnia Will Always Be A Part of My Cinematic DNA

The Men of Narnia Will Always Be A Part of My Cinematic DNA

I may just have to create a saga where I go through all of my past celebrity crushes and what they meant to me as I seemingly am just in that writing zone and this has long since stopped being for a competition and more just a fun re-living of my past self and what made me happy.

'General Hospital' teen love triangle will bring heartache

'General Hospital' teen love triangle will bring heartache

The teenagers on General Hospital are about to have some drama in their lives and not everyone is going to come out unscathed. The writers have taken a long time to pair any of them up with each other and no one seems to know who it is they truly love. Trina and Josslyn both kissed Dev who said he was not into them that way. he went on to tell Joss that he did not want to do anything to jeopardize his relationship with her family. Trina and Cameron kissed after their ordeal with the men Cyrus sent to kidnap them and they are not sure what it meant. They could simply have bonded over almost losing their lives, or perhaps there really are some feelings between them.

'The Bold and the Beautiful' Dollar Bill and Shauna play the waiting game

'The Bold and the Beautiful' Dollar Bill and Shauna play the waiting game

Some fans of The Bold and Beautiful thought that when Ridge referred to Shauna as his wife and took her upstairs that they would immediately hit the sheets. Instead, the new Mrs. Forrester is trying to wine and dine and woo her new spouse, all the while hoping he will fall in love with her. Meanwhile, Dollar Bill allowed himself to be manipulated by Quinn and is waiting for Brooke to fall into arms. Both Shauna and Bill could be waiting a lot longer than they intend to. Because of COVID restrictions, the soaps are in no hurry to show passionate love scenes and keeping couples at arm's length. There is also the fact that both Ridge and Brooke have admitted they are not interested in moving on, at least not yet.

'The Young and the Restless' spoilers tease a Lola pregnancy

'The Young and the Restless' spoilers tease a Lola pregnancy

Spoilers for The Young and the Restless continue to tease a possible pregnancy for Lola. Celeb Dirty Laundry is echoing what Soap Hub and Soap Dirt predicted prior to the taping hiatus. The thinking is that in order to add drama to the Kyle and Summer fairy tale, Lola should be carrying Kyle's baby. Now that she actually has slept with Theo it would not be hard to pass off a baby as his, but the due date might be a problem. The spoiler alerts, as well as some fans, believe this is the way the writers will go but others disagree. Some viewers say it does not seem like Lola's nature to lie about the father of her baby and trick Theo into believing the child is his.

Our love has always been 10 centimeters apart.

Our love has always been 10 centimeters apart.

This is the third and final story that takes place in this, universe? Unlike the previous two stories, which were both films, this is a series. It lasts six episodes in total, and revolves around a couple that was in the background throughout the previous two films. There are some really fascinating things going on in this show, however it never feels as if there was any time to let any of the ideas breath properly. Conceptually, much like the previous two films, the main theme of the series revolves around love, and the various aspects that relate to it.

Anime to Watch: Aggretsuko Season 3

I love when a new season of Aggretsuko drops. In ten short episodes, it offers lots of laughs and tears, and always manages to be relatable. I’ll keep my little review spoiler free, so don’t be afraid. Aggretsuko has a lot of fun plot points that you have to see to believe.

A Twisted Homage to the Theater

A Twisted Homage to the Theater

“I think one of the insidious lessons about TV is the meta-lesson that you’re dumb. This is all you can do. This is easy, and you’re the sort of person who really just wants to sit in a chair and have it easy. When in fact there are parts of us, in a way, that are a lot more ambitious than that…I think what we need is seriously engaged art, that can teach us again that we’re smart. And that there’s stuff that TV and movies–although they’re great at certain things–cannot give us. But that we have to create the motivations for us to want to do the extra work, you know, to get these other kinds of art. And I think you can see it in the visual arts, I think you can see it in music…“
