Theme park car driving rides are so fun!
Less stakes than the road

Pictured above is a ride at Lake Winnie (Chattanooga) where you get to ride or drive a car from the 1920s on a track. The fun of getting to ride a vehicle from a decade ago and feel what it would have been like to drive one around is exciting, it is a piece of history to have a blast on. I enjoy the prohibition era and speakeasies, so this is a great to put on a fedora and drive! Lake Winnie has a boat ride on their lake you get to paddle yourself. This is quite enjoyable to be able to hang out and gain exercise on a ride while normally sitting still. If you want to go on the lake in a boat that you don't have to paddle, there is a boat ride from the twenties beside the paddle ones that use the lake water. It is a fun little plunge!

This next picture is one where you get to ride a car from the 1950s in Dollywood. They even have a fifties diner nearby and the whole little area is vintage cute! There was a Grease show there one time I went to go with the theme in this park pocket. Disney world has a ride like this in magic Kingdom called tomorrowland speedway. These are more featured like racing cars and smaller so not necessarily for adults. Bumper cars is another version, but depends on if you like controlled crashing. I know I more so prefer the feel of a specific car or atmosphere that goes with.

The joy of these types of rides is getting to drive them any way like a live video game. The track or trail will catch you when driving too crazy so there is no way to crash! There is a ride in Movieland Italy I definitely wish they had for the universal Jurassic Park in the U.S. This is a ride called Pangea where you get to drive a jeep around a jungle. This looks so fun! I would love to drive around a jungle set up in a little jeep car that's actually a ride!

There is another potential at Disney world for it to be an Indiana Jones type ride. I was walking through the Hollywood world they have there and saw something Indiana Jones! Figure out it is just a show though and there is no ride for him. The closest I got was the mummy in universal at least. Imagine a tomb raider ride. Have a mine cart go down a track and barely make it before everything falls apart would be epic! Mystery mine and Blazing Fury in Dollywood at least give me a bit of this effect because of the area theatrically being blown with dynamite 🧨 then the coaster drops.
Disneyland has Radiator Springs Racers, but you don't get to drive yourself or control the speed. Same as the test track they have in the Epcot area on the Disney world side. Being able to actually turn a wheel and push a gas pedel makes you feel more so apart of the experience even if there is a speed cap. I love the trackless idea that I am sure some areas avoid because they don't want rogue cars, but cars now adjust push you back into the road so it seems a theme park could make that happen well. There is a ferrari ride like the Italy one in Dubai. If only the U.S. had some a bit more track free would be so cool especially in an adventure setting, but I guess can only dream. I guess I could also just take my jeep to high terrain areas but that feels a bit more stakes than a set up ride.
