Comic Book Recommendations
So we know that I am known for reading, analyzing, and writing about superhero comics. That is definitely the genre where my expertise lies. That said, there are some excellent non-superhero comics that I would love to recommend. These are from a few different genres. We’ve got some cozy ones, some action, magic and mystery but all non-superhero comics so that there is something for everyone.

What If
Okay with season 2 of What If now being released I thought I should actually get around to finishing season 1. I really only watched a few episodes that had the possibility of being tied to the multiverse of madness. But of course the filmmakers weren’t smart enough to spend their time on actual multidimensional exploration. So we are finishing it and ranking the episodes from worst to best.

What If
Now that What If is back on Disney+ we are going to be ranking the second season of the MCU show. We will be going from worst to best. With a show like this, where every episode is self-contained I’m not sure you can really call any of the episodes “bad”. As there is no growth or fitting into an existing narrative there is really only less good, or more compelling. That said, this particular ranking list is going to be almost entirely subjective, unlike others where I have tried to speak as technically as possible.

What If
Marvel’s series, What If has released its second season and we got more world exploration. As we see the multiverse build in the main MCU continuity, What If fills a void. The show allows the audience to see some of what goes on in other universes and timelines. Now as with any self isolated series some episodes are better than others. But it remains one of the MCU’s best shows.

Responding to Reception for My X-Men Article
On February 16, 2024, I published an article titled "X-Men Has Always Been 'Woke'" on Vocal. It addressed the controversy surrounding the portrayal of a non-binary character in a Disney show. The article highlights the X-Men's history of storytelling that tackles social justice and human rights issues, which has been a fundamental part of its identity since the 1960s. While the article received positive feedback from Marvel fans who appreciated the exploration of these themes, there were those who insisted that Disney shouldn't tell politically driven storylines, dismissing them as "woke."

In 2023 I saw a lot of films. Some excellent like this list below, and some not so great (looking at you M3gan).
