Laura Ingalls Wilder An Inspirational Woman

Laura Ingalls Wilder An Inspirational Woman

All of us admire different people for varied reasons. I find Laura Ingalls Wilder to be a most remarkable woman because of what she achieved during her senior years. Laura Elizabeth Ingalls was born to Charles and Caroline Ingalls on February 7, 1867. The Ingalls' home in Pepin Wisconsin was the setting for her first book, Little House in the Big Woods. Laura Ingalls was a descendant of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and a third cousin, once removed, of President Ulysses S. Grant. To obtain the true nature of this pioneer woman’s remarkable life, I suggest reading any or all of her Little House books. The made for television movie, Beyond the Prarie is more accurate of what is written than the popular television series Little House on the Prairie.

    Dancing to Stardom

    Dancing to Stardom

The very first time I saw this fantastic actor, singer and dancer was in the musical “Singing In the Rain.” He was Gene Kelly, and I thought he was handsome and so talented. Afterward, I always tried to find more musicals that he starred in. Kelly was also a choreographer, and he died on February 2, 1996, at the age of 83 in Beverly Hills, California.

Defending Ben Affleck's Departure from Batman

Defending Ben Affleck's Departure from Batman

Remember a time when Ben Affleck was both writing and directing a Batman film, that he would be starring in? Recall rumors of Deathstroke being in it and even speculation of all the Batman’s rogues appearing? Later on, Matt Reeves signed on to direct or maybe even co-direct. Fans became lost in this development. At first appearance, the idea was Matt Reeves is simply co-directing or directing, regardless, this was still Ben Affleck’s Batman. In time though, this was no longer the case. Reeves threw out the script, Robert Pattinson is cast and Ben Affleck simply retired the cape and cowl. I admit, I am a fan of Batfleck as fans came to call him. However, I personally feel Affleck made the right choice.

They are now reporting that actress Brooke Kerr has been hired as a cast member on the ABC daytime drama General Hospital. Her character will be a doctor by the name of Portia Robinson, but no details of a storyline have been provided. Since Robinson is Trina’s last name, the chances are that she and Portia will turn out to be mother and daughter. A few weeks back it was revealed that Marcus Taggert is Trina’s father and he asked her to have her mother call him. This let General Hosputal viewers know that her mom indeed is in the picture. Since Portia is a doctor, this would explain why she is not around a lot and her daughter has such free reign.
