Sarah Brown's career beginning and personal life

Sarah Joy Brown is one of those faces you cannot forget and the roles she has played remain etched in the minds of her fans. She is an American actress and soap opera veteran who has graced movie screens, prime time, and daytime television with her presence for 3 decades. She leaves fans impressed with her talent and has won awards that testify to her skills.

Sarah was born to David and Pamela Brown in Eureka, California on February 18, 1975, and was a theater major at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Her acting career began in 1994 at the age of 19, when she was cast as Kaitlin Star on the syndicated action-adventure series VR Troopers. In 1996, she made a guest appearance on Saban's other popular sci-fi children's show in a 3-part episode of Power Rangers Zeo. Brown portrayed Heather Thompson, who has a crush on Tommy Oliver AKA the Red Ranger.

Th on-screen relationship did not go anywhere but for some reason, there are people who believe Sarah portrayed a Power Ranger. The actress became engaged to Shuki Levy (an Israeli composer) who at the time was an executive producer on the Power Rangers and VR Troopers. The actress became a practicing convert to Judaism and had one daughter, Jordan Alexandra Judith Levy with Shuki prior to their breakup.

Daytime and Primetime roles

In 1996 Brown originated the popular role of Carly Benson (Now Carly Corinthos) on the ABC soap General Hospital but left in 2001. During her five years on the show, she was nominated for four Daytime Emmy Awards and took home three. Her portrayal of Carly led her to win for Outstanding Younger Actress in 1997and 1998, with a nomination in the same category in 1999.

She won as Carly for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2000 and received her first Daytime Emmy nomination in the Lead Actress category as Claudia Zacchara in 2010. Brown was wildly popular as a soap actress and graced the cover of Soap Opera Digest 19 times while portraying Carly and also won two Soap Opera Digest Awards.

In 1998 she received the Younger Lead Actress honor and in 2000 she won for Favorite Actress. After leaving General Hospital, Brown guest-starred on several television series, including Birds of Prey, Crossing Jordan, Strong Medicine Mysterious Ways, and Without a Trace. She returned to daytime from 2004-2005 in the role of Julia Morrisey Larrabee on CBS soap As the World Turns.

That same year Brown had the lead role of Kate Vignatti in the television movie The Perfect Husband: The Laci Peterson Story. In the fall of 2005, she became a regular cast member on the CBS crime drama Cold Case but was let go after appearing in only five episodes. During that year she also lent her voice to the video game Predator Concrete Jungle as Scarface.

Brown starred in her first feature film, Big Momma's House 2 in 2006 and later that year appeared in an episode of Monk. the same year. In 2007 she appeared on TNT's The Closer and the Fox police drama K-Ville. She returned to General Hospital in January 2008 in the role of Claudia Zacchara but left the soap again in October 2009.

In 2011, she was in the film The Lamp (All Things are Possible If You Just Believe and also joined the cast of NBC's Days of Our Lives as Madison James, She was let go in April 2012, with other DOOL cast members as a budget-saving method. In 2014, Brown appeared in the soap opera web series Beacon Hill portraying Massachusetts State Representative Katherine "Kate" Wesley.

For that role she was nominated in 2015 for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in a New Approaches Drama Series. That same year she won an Indie Series Award for that character as Best Lead Actress (Drama). Her last listed roles are Youthful Days in 2016 and Code Black in 2018. It is being reported that the actress has Celiac disease but no information is available on how or if it is affecting her career.
