'RuPaul's Drag Race' Eliminated Queens
Comeback Season
Every RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant, when making it to the show, says that they have one goal and one goal only, to not be the first one eliminated. The first one to go home is always a tough spot to be in, because that queen feels as though they did not have enough time to showcase what they really are about. For season 11, we finally got the return of a first eliminated queen meaning that Miss Vanjee was back. It seemed like a great idea for an entire season!
It would not be the standard number of queens out there for the season but there would be 10 of them, or 11 depending on if Miss Vanjee is getting a 3rd try for the crown. All the same challenges could be in affect, because it would be great to see what more of them could do.
A lot of the time, the first challenge is always turning these random items into a great outfit, and if you are not expecting this then it can really throw you. Also, depending on what you get sometimes it is really difficult to make a great outfit. Add the pressure of it being the start of the competition and some need a second chance.
Your line up for the Eliminated Queen Season:
Season 1: Victoria “Porkchop” Parker
Season 2: Nicole Paige Brooks (because Shangela has already been back twice)
Season 3: Venus D-Lite
Season 4: Alisa Summers
Season 5: Penny Tration
Season 6: Kelly Mantle
Season 7: Tempance DuJour
Season 8: Naysha Lopez
Season 9: Jaymes Mansfield
Season 10: Miss Vanjee—Maybe
Season 11: Soju
To make things fair and more interesting, with the UK version of the show happening, to add in that queen Gothy Kendoll to the list, making it either a cast of 11 or 12 queens, depending once again on the Miss Vanjee debate. This would add an added twist, just with having a queen that none of the American queens have really seen before.
There would be an entire season of redemption for these queens as during the reunion, they always say how they would have done amazing at certain challenges, namely Snatch Game or the Reading challenge.
What could happen is that the first challenge would be the redemption episode, where each queen almost redoing the original challenge and runway look they had for their season. Half of the girls would need to rock a ridiculous photoshoot or to create a look from nothing. How the judging would work is that it would be the worst from each category up for elimination, having to lip sync against the worst from the other challenge. It would be a great way to start the show, because some of their designs or poses for the challenge were rough to say the least.
Also, this way we can see the progress of these queens from since they were eliminated. A lot of the queens voted off first, we do not really hear anything about them in the future, except for Shangela and Miss Vanjee who both came back for another season. A lot of times with the one who went home first, their transformation to when we see them next at the reunion is just incredible and they become so much more polished than what they were at the start of the season.
Not sure if you would call the winner of this the Drag Superstar of the World. Just as they were the ones kicked off first. The title definitely needs to do something with the fact that it is about redemption so maybe something along the line of RuPaul’s Drag Race: Redemptions of the Queens.
