'RuPaul's Drag Race' Elite

Season vs. Season Smackdown

RuPaul’s Drag Race has blessed us with 11 seasons of Drag Race, four seasons of All Stars, and now we have Season 1 of Drag Race UK. What this show has done for society everywhere has been amazing. They have shown the true power of drag, and what gay men in America still must deal with in this day and age. Every single season, we see amazing queens who rock the runway, and most slay the competition.

There has been some hinting at the possibility of having a winner-takes-it-all season. That means that all the past winners come back, and battle it out to see who the top queen of all queens is. I think a better idea would be a battle of the seasons, because all the queens are always saying that their season did it best.

Here is the breakdown: Each season would bring back the top four contestants, and be in teams. Yes, it would be a large cast for the season, but it would be worth it. The competition then focuses on all group challenges, and the teams that fall into the bottom two must do a group lip sync. Season by season, the teams will be eliminated until the most sickening top four will be crowned. This once and for all will tell us which season, from 1 to 11, had the best queens.

Another great idea for the challenges would be for the team to pick who they think would be the strongest for the challenge, like having them choose out of the four of them which one is the best for Snatch game, or for an acting challenge, or a sewing challenge, to highlight which group is the most well-rounded.

Here are the line ups:

  • Season 1: BeBE Zahara Benet, Nina Flowers, Rebecca Glasscock, and Shannel
  • Season 2: Tyra Shanchez, Raven, Jujubee, and Tatianna
  • Season 3: Raja, Manila Luzon, Alexis Mateo and Yara Sofia
  • Season 4: Sharon Needles, Chad Michaels, Phi Phi O’Hara, and Latrice Royale
  • Season 5: Jinkx Monsoon, Alaska, Roxxxy Andrews, and Detox
  • Season 6: Bianca DelRio, Adore Delano, Courtney Act, and Darienne Lake
  • Season 7: Violet Chachki, Ginger Minj, Pearl, and Kennedy Davenport
  • Season 8: Bob the Drag Queen, Naomi Smalls, Kim Chi, and Chi Chi DeVayne
  • Season 9: Sasha Velour, Peppermint, Shae Coulee, and Trinity Taylor
  • Season 10: Aquaria, Eureka, Kameron Michaels, and Asia O’Hara
  • Season 11: Yvie Oddly, Brooke Lynn Hytes, A’Keria C. Davenport, and Silky Nutmeg Ganache

Don’t think that having 44 queens in the room will have enough drama? Try having queens who won their season, and did not exactly work well together in their season, be on the same team. You have seasons like 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10 and 11, who all have members with an issue with someone else in their group. Season 2 and 4 will be especially interesting groups to watch, as they have had very public moments of not all getting along. Plus, you have queens from different seasons who have voiced their opinions on how they may not have liked certain other queens. So, the shade and the tea will be flying for sure.

It will be a great competition as well. Since all these queens were fierce enough to make it to the top of their season, you know that they are talented. Also, all the teams are very well-rounded, so it is not like any one season (Season 6 and 8) where you knew right away pretty much who the winner was going to be. Also, all these queens have been in the competition before, so they know what is going on and what is expected from the competition.

RuPaul, please make this happen!
