Film Review: 'Countdown'
Having recently become a residential nurse at the hospital where she works, Quinn Harris (Elizabeth Lail) seems to have her life on track, even as she continues to deal with her mother's tragic death and the strain it's put on her relationship with her younger sister Jordan (Talitha Bateman). But then, Quinn learns about a new app that everyone seems to be getting: Countdown, which tells the user precisely how much time they have until they die.

In a world over saturated with drippy romcoms and killer shark-tornado movies I decided to compile my own movie list. These are all films I think have a special artistic beauty to them from their soundtrack down to their narrative. And with all of us now confined to our homes we have extra time to be productive or become a couch potato. But if you do choose the easy option you might as well make it fulfilling and impactful and that's the point of this list. I think it's time to try a few underrated but wholly more moving films than American Pie 1 & 2.
Carolyn McMurrayPublished 4 years ago in GeeksThe Ultimate movie review of Birds of Prey And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn
Birds of Prey And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn is a B+ movie. It's not an Oscar winner or a way to describe Daniel Bryan, but despite its disappointing Box office performance, it was a damn good movie.
Rayna QuinnsPublished 4 years ago in Geeks7 Celebrities You Didn't Know Have Children (Photos).
Get ready to be surprised. The thing about celebrities is we don't know them. We can never truly know them. We only know the version of themselves they show us on the internet, or in their movies, or in their music or music videos. But until they disclose information, we simply do not know these people.
Jide OkonjoPublished 4 years ago in GeeksClassic Movie Review: 'Eurotrip' The Comedy Everyone was Supposed to Forget
Waking up in the month of April 2020 amid a quarantine and the fear and uncertainty of the world, it was odd to open Twitter and see ‘Scotty Doesn’t Know’ was the top trend on one of the biggest social media platforms in the world. As a closet fan of Eurotrip, I recognized the phrase right away as that film’s running musical gag. I had assumed however, that the rest of the world had forgotten about this remarkably minor early 2000’s comedy. And yet, there it was.

The one thing I've always liked about RuPaul's Drag Race is the way the show illustrates the relationships between the contestants and the contestants and the judges. You can learn a lot about the struggles and triumphs these drag queens have to cope with just in a short hour-long show, and my daughters and I have been along for the ride over the course of 12 seasons.
Christina St-JeanPublished 4 years ago in GeeksMovie Review:'The Death of Dick Long' Surprisingly Human Dark Comedy
The Death of Dick Long was not what I was expecting it to be. Based off of the film’s trailer, I assumed The Death of Dick Long was going to be a dark comedy about hillbillies covering up their buddies death. That is part of the story, for sure, but what I didn’t expect was the level of humanity and drama in The Death of Dick Long. Instead of portraying well known redneck tropes, The Death of Dick Long gives these characters depth and dimension.

You all probably know by now that I'm reading more purely because of this pandemic and being able to stay inside and not go to work. However, I do love reading at least one book a day, just to keep myself sane. People keep themselves sane in many different ways: some bake, some write, some study new things, some exercise, some relax in the garden, some sleep but we all do something - there is no such thing as doing nothing. Even when you feel you are doing nothing, you are doing something. Even at 'nothingness' you are recharging and re-evaluating yourself.

Many great things start with the letter A: Artistic, Authentic, Ambitious, and Actress, among others. All those terms also have another thing in common. They can all be used to describe Annie Coulson, a freshman from the DC suburbs who is now attending NYU’s heralded Tisch School of the Arts.

Warnings: reference to a past plague I looked out the window of my cabin knowing very well that I can't avoid the day no matter how hard I tried. I felt my phone buzz and recognized I received a text from Anton. I remembered a time when I was so eager to keep in touch with friends. I remembered a time when I would run out of the house to seize the day just to see my friends. I remembered a time when I would make half-jokes about doing errands quickly just to stay in the house longer. The person I joked about being stared back from my dim reflection in the window, but I knew all too well that that person was somewhere else in the world. I knew I couldn't stay inside forever no matter what how many delivery apps were still working. Eventually, I caved and left the cabin to get some fresh air.
Monique StarPublished 4 years ago in GeeksThe Young and the Restless spoilers: Kyle tells Theo, "You're fired"
Many times, whenever spoiler alerts are direct and specific with upcoming episodes, soap fans know to take it with a grain of salt. There have been a number of occasions when previews for an exciting episode turned out to be a dream or a character daydreaming. Soaps She Knows is revealing that during the week of April 20, on The Young and the Restless, Kyle will fire Theo. Long time viewers, however, will know not to take this at face value because it could simply be a teaser. If indeed Kyle gives his cousin the boot, many fans will be excited because they have wanted Theo one for a long time. If this is not what really happens,it is only a matter of time before Mr. Vanderway is shown the door.
Cheryl E PrestonPublished 4 years ago in Geeks10 Mini-series on Netflix to Binge in Self-Isolation
While some people are being almost offensively productive during these hours of self-isolation, many of us just want to take this time to relax and unwind. But maybe, even though you have more free time than ever, you’re still not in the mood to sit down and read those Game of Thrones books, or let your partner convince you to watch One Piece with them (which consists of a glorious 925 episodes… RIP). In that case, I’ve compiled a list of 10 mini/one season-series that you can binge through in just a couple of hours and then move on to the next one!
