‘Dirty God’ Is an Intimate Look Into a Burn Victim’s Life
Dirty God is the story of Jade, a twenty-something mom living in London, who is recovering from a vicious acid attack that left her permanently scarred. We meet Jade late in the story — after her attack and her time in the hospital — and therefore focus on her road of emotional recovery.
MovieBabblePublished 4 years ago in GeeksWhy Did the Glee writers Hate Black Men?
If you have read some of my other stories I've posted on here, you probably know that I am a big Glee fan. My love for Glee, however, does not absolve the show of some of the problematic behaviors it exhibited during its run. One of the most problematic being the show's bias and outright aversion to Black men. During its six season run, the show only managed to feature two Black male characters as part of the main cast and even then, there were many problems surrounding their characterization. From my perspective, Glee had three overarching problems when it came to their approach to portraying Black men.

Robert M. Massimi. Theater put forth in these peculiar times. An immersive play that involves just one person, seated at a desk and working as a temp for an actuary firm. Like going to the office, you are given a desk, a computer, a phone and of course a Brother printer. Not an easy field to work in, being thrown into a desk as a temp with no knowledge of how an actuary does his job is part of the fun. The audience member is given instructions on how to answer messages, given further instructions on the computer and receives some of the wackiest of information via the Brother.

Eyes closed, Logan laid perfectly still. Didn't know how long but when he awoke he was in a hospital bed, arm wrapped in gauze. Glancing to his right Logan noticed the Fennec that attacked him curled up in a ball purring, as if its new life goal was to protect him, despite having just attacked him. Looking around further to gather his surroundings, Logan came to the conclusion that his blanket and this Fennec were the only two things of color in this blandly white room. Logan looked up to see a monitor glowing with his vitals on it and a half-filled bag of Saline. He wasn't sure how long he'd been out for, but the Saline bag was an indication of at least twelve hours, maybe a bit more. Difficult to tell. About that time a woman dressed in a colorful outfit with foxes on it entered the room. She wore a mask and gloves so she was either a nurse or an on-call assistant. Either way, they probably wanted to discuss what happened,

Q-ell BettonPublished 4 years ago in GeeksMovie Review: 'Hillbilly Elegy'
Hillbilly Elegy is a deeply overwrought and desperately misguided burlesque of backwoods Americana. An over the top Amy Adams and a downright silly Glenn Close chew scenery as they try to fill the void at the center of a movie based on one of the more dull and forgettable bestselling memoirs I’ve ever read. That Hillbilly Elegy was directed by someone as clever and steeped in Americana as Ron Howard is genuinely baffling.

Cheryl E PrestonPublished 4 years ago in Geeks5 best alternatives to Netflix in Brazil (even if you don't live there)
One of the most widely used services today, Netflix has a big advantage over technology. Streaming plays content very well on computers, smartphones, Smart TVs and etc., always according to the quality of the user's internet. That is, the transmission hardly stops because of it.
