WAS Thanos VERY STUPID!

OR VERY WISE??!!

The Solution He COULD have used!

AND the one reason he might not have chosen to use it!

.

Instead of killing half the universe, Why did Thanos not just make more resources instead?

.

I reckon Thanos WILL have made a load to new for the resources for the universe!

.

BUT

.

Let us assume the MCU abides by the rule that "energy cannot be created,"

.

But if energy cannot be created he would have to take the raw energy needed to create those resources from somewhere.

.

Find something he deems expendable to reduce disassemble into mere energy to redistribute to resource creation!

.

I wonder where he could have gotten the extra energy to make those resources.

.

Does anyone happen to have any bright ideas?

.

.

I DO!

.

The much simpler more humane way of solving the depleted resources issue.

.

(Obviously assuming finite laws of limited universal energy that can only be redistributed and NOT created or destroyed, still apply,

.

If not then he is even stupider than I first thought and defiantly did not have to kill anyone, just simply make more stuff! )

.

Just reduce the size of all advanced top of food chain species by 75%

.

If Ant-Man tech can shrink stuff the Infinity Gauntlet definitely can!

.

(Thanos can even do one better, actually, reduce the size of his target Not just move the subject atoms closer together. Thus all those “Spare” atoms can be reused to make more resources!)

.

That means each living thing needs only 25% of the calorie intake they needed originally.

.

One normal size cow, for instance, can now feed far more people!

.

Reduction in size all call cars, planes etc mean fewer materials need to make them.

.

PLUS the reduced weight of light structures means less fuel needed to move them efficiently.

.

Then reduce the fertility of all those same species by 50%

.

All problems solved and no one (apart from his daughter) had to die!

.

For an immortal titan, he is a bit of a perceptually limited Dumb Ass!

.

.

OR WAS HE! ?

.

OPTION B: THE WISE TITAN!

.

I was always very proud of the above piece,

.

My ego was showering me with the self-satisfaction that I might be smarter than a non-existent superbeing,

(If you think that is a bit pathetic and sad of me, you have only glimpsed the depth of my nutty goodness!)

.

And while hundreds of fellow Geeks ranted at me with various comments I felt immune due to a feeling of self-satisfied superiority.

.

.

Until one single comment pierced the ego armour.

Marvel Universe Rocks My World

.

Fellow Geek Joshua Ruh said the following,

(He did give me written permission to use his name.)

.

"If he shrank it or created more then no lesson would have been learned and everyone would still be taking everything for granted. He was trying to teach them a lesson...."

.

And I thought,

.

"Shit! Mr Ruh has a valid point,"

.

He (Thanos) might have already considered the solution I gave and discarded it!

.

What IF the Titan did NOT just want to solve the problem but teach the Universe a valuable lesson about responsible long-term resource management?

.

He might know that one day he will no longer be around, and felt he had to leave a legacy of knowledge and a feeling of inherent responsibility to the universe he loves,

.

"Caring" for someone to the point of dis-empowering them and taking away their chance to learn to look after themselves is NOT really caring for them.

.

Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind to those you are teaching to get them to reach their full potential.

.

Maby Thanos COULD have even CONSIDERED my solution BUT INSTEAD wanted the universe to learn a valuable lesson, and reach its full potential.

.

Nuff Said!
