Is a reunion around the corner for Carly and Sonny?

General Hospital viewers have been discussing a situation in multiple Facebook groups. The topic of interest is a possible reunion between Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). On social media, the consensus from the majority is that this couple belongs together and should reunite. Spoilers like Celebrating the Soaps suggest that Sonny and Carly will be drawn to one another after they get the news that Bobbie Spencer (Jackie Zeman) has passed away.

Mourning this loss together might be what is needed to bring Carlson back together. Carly is in a relationship with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) who is in Pentnville prison for three years. Carly is free and out and about and living her life as she chooses. Carly is also determined to be independent and live a life free of Sonny's influence but her ex-husband continues to offer his assistance time and time again.

Sonny and Carly know they have a bond

.Sonny tried to give his former spouse the 5 million to pay the SEC for insider trading but she said no. He offered her a ride home from the police station after the fight with Mason Gatlin (Nathanyeal Grey) and she said no. Carly may not be able to refuse Sonny however when he offers to comfort her after the news that Bobbie has died.

Carly refused to turn Sonny over to the SEC in exchange for her freedom and when she is in trouble he drops everything to be by her side. Ava Jerome ( Maura West) has told Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) more than once that Sonny will always choose Carly first. Soon she might be forced to see this right in her face. Carly and Sonny have a history of more than 20 years together and they share children, stepchildren and other family ties. Both of them know deep down that they have an unbreakable bond that cannot be denied.

Carly understands Sonny and the mob business in a way that Nina cannot even imagine. Recently when Dex Heller (Evan Hofler) told Nina she could not enter Sonny's apartment she whined like a baby and ran straight to Sonny demanding to know what was going on. Carly would have simply taken it all in stride.

Is Nina out and Carly in?

When Carly gets the news that her mother, Bobbie is gone she will be devastated and Sonny will be right there if she will allow him to. When the truth is finally revealed that Nina is the one who made the call to the SEC this will be a game changer. Not everyone who watches General Hospital is a Carlson fan and they are vocal that they do not desire to see Carlson reunited as a couple. It looks, however like the writers are going in that direction.

A few weeks back Carly told Nina that she would get back everything she lost and Ms. Reeeves asked her if that were a threat. Carly told her it was a promise but some fans believe unwittingly this promise includes reuniting with Sonny. When Nina's bad decision comes to light it will be all over for her and the mob boss and there will be no salvaging the relationship. Be on the lookout for General Hospital updates and spoilers regarding when the memorial service for Bobbie Spencer will air and be sure to keep your eyes on Sonny and Carly once the death announcement is made. A lot of action is coming up and soon Nina might be out of S9onny's life as Carly is drawn back in.
