Soap fans love Judith Chapman and Greg Rikaart

Judith Chapman and Greg Rikaart have an amazing history together on two daytime drama shows. They portray mother and son Gloria Bardwell and Kevin Fisher on The Young and the Restless on CBS and Diane Cooper and Leo Stark on Days of Our Lives on NBC. Originally Diane was Diana Coleville and portrayed by Genie Francis who is Laura Collins on General Hospital.

Kevin Fisher had a terrible childhood

Kevin began as a bad boy who was accused of the statutory rape of Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and giving her chlamydia. he later locked Colleen Carlton ( in a freezer and set it on fire in an attempt to kill her but he was never convicted. He was locked in closets and beaten by his father Terrible Tom Fisher so that might explain some of his wayward behavior. Gloria was afraid to stop her husband and Kevin held this against her for many years. Kevin has come a long way and is now beloved and fans wish they could see more of him.

Leo Stark is full of himself

After Leo came to Salem on Days of Our Lives his mom showed up on his doorstep and was surprised to find out his mother had a history with John Black (Drake Hogestyn decades earlier. She was not kind to her son and treated him like dirt. She actually accused him of being a sociopathic killer, but he told her he had done the world a favor by getting rid of her husband because he was an abusive pig! Diane was cruel to Leo and even faked a DNA test that indicated John was his dad but on The Young and the Restless Gloria was never evil but simply made bad choices and there was never any doubt that she loves her sons.

Chapman and Rikaart oh the possibilities

Gloria was more like the eccentric mom who did wacky things but her children adore her. Y&R fans were excited a few months back when Kevin and Gloria were on hand when Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E Bregman) received an award for her business Fenmores. Viewers were hoping this meant the writers were going to bring back the mother and son but they did not.

Kevin's wife Chloe Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is on recurring status and has only been in one episode in the month of June. Chloe never mentions her husband and fans are wondering if the character might be written out. The actress addressed the issue recently and explained that she is no longer on contract and only on-screen when the writers decide to use her character.

Leo seems to be a permanent fixture on DOOL

Leo is very busy on Days of Our Lives writing a gossip column called Lady Whistleblower and he is good friends with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O'Brien) who once portrayed Kevin's wife Jana on The Young and the Restless. Leo seems to be a permanent fixture in Salem society while Kevin's future in Genoa City is uncertain. At this time nothing has been said about bringing either Kevin or Gloria back to Y&R or Diane showing back up on DOOL.

Friday on Days of Our Lives Leo was talking to Gwen about his mother who he believes never loved him and some fans think this might be a sign that she could return. It would be great to see the chemistry between Greg Rikaart and Judith Chapman on one or both soaps again because they work well together. Be on the lookout for updates related to Leo and Kevin and Gloria and Diane because you never know what the future holds.
