General Hospital Spoiler: Is Cyrus Renault setting up Drew Cain to die in Pentonville?
The mayor's brother says he has turned over a new leaf and is living by the Bible but could he still be harboring his sinister side?
Is Drew going to die in Pentonville?
General Hospital viewers have been waiting on a credible update on the status of Cameron Mathison as Drew Cain. Spoilers are teasing that the character may leave the soap and that he could die in Pentonville. This would eventually clear a path for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to reunite with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Jackie Zeman who portrayed Carly's mom Bobbie Spencer passed away in May so her death will at some be dealt with onscreen and Carly will be devastated. With Drew in prison, she may find herself leaning on Sonny who had some closure with his former mother-in-law a few months back.
Bobbie told Sonny that she appreciated how he looked out for his family even though she did not always like the way he treated her daughter. With Drew incarcerated, Sonny may feel the need to be there for his former spouse which will no doubt upset Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Carly may allow her ex-husband to comfort her. She is different now than she used to be so she probably will not cheat on Drew but if he is dead she might end up back with Sonny.
What is Cyrus Renault really up to?
General Hospital viewers still are not certain whether or not Mathison is leaving the soap but Tuesday's episode may have given some clues. Drew encountered Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) who attempted to befriend him by giving him a Bible which had been hollowed out and had a shank inside. Could Cyrus have been giving Drew a weapon so he could protect himself or was he hoping he would be caught with the shank and be placed in solitary confinement for harboring the weapon? A third possibility is that Drew might be killed with the shank.
Drew has been sentenced to three years in Pentonville so unless he gets some type of pardon or is released early he will serve out that time. General Hospital probably would not have Mathison spend the next 3 years with his scenes only being from behind prison walls while wearing an orange jumpsuit. The Buzz Nayag website says Mathison has announced his departure but this information is not being revealed by any other sources at this time.
Is a Carlson reunion on GH inevitable?
General Hospital viewers already know that Nina will eventually be exposed as the person who is responsible for revealing that Carly and Drew were guilty of insider trading and Drew going to jail. All of Port Charles especially Sonny will be shocked at this revelation as some of them still believe Eddie Maand the mob boss is going to leave Nina behind. Many GH fans believe it is only a matter of time before Carlson gets back together and some have pointed out that while Drew has told Carly he loves her she has not said the same to him.
Carly feels guilty that she is the one responsible for the SCC filing charges against Drew and she will be hurt deeply if anything happens to him in prison. Even so, there is no denying that Carly and Sonny have been getting along better lately than they have for a long time and that eventually they will find their way back to one another. In the meantime, General Hospital fans continue to watch for Cameron Mathison to update his status on the ABC soap. Be on the lookout for spoilers and b breaking news related to the fate of Drew Cain and whether he will live to see freedom or he will die behind prison walls.

2023 The Year of Women and Fridging
2023 was an incredible year for women in film. Between Beyonce and Taylor’s concert movies, Barbie and 1 single woman getting nominated for best director at the Oscars there was a lot to celebrate. But just like with anything the universe seeks balance and in 2023 we nerds also experienced something on page and screen that we should have evolved out of decades ago. In the year of Barbie we had not 1, but 2 incidents of fridging in the comic book universe. Both came from Marvel and both are inexcusable. I would love to celebrate how far representation in this field has come, really I would. But I can not do that if we are still making the same mistakes. I am not going to celebrate that there is now less sexual assault in comics. I am not going to celebrate that fridging is less common. I am not going to celebrate that women are infantilized less often in comics. I will not celebrate less. Not in 2024 when every grown person on the planet should know better. I will not be celebrating less. I will celebrate when women are ALWAYS treated like human beings, fictional or not.

The Boys Season 2
The first few episodes of The Boys are out and the internet reaction for the most part has been insufferable. Between internet incels talking shit about Erin Moriarty’s looks and creatively illiterate morons screaming that this season is suffering from “bad writing” (something they couldn’t possibly be more specific about because they have no idea what would actually constitute bad writing) this season of The Boys is certainly being talked about. That said I think the new season is off to a great start and it feels literally exactly like the previous 3 seasons that we have gotten. Before we get started with The Boys season 2, episode 4 let’s do a quick recap up to this point, Butcher is dying, Huey’s mom is back, Firecracker is coming after Starlight and for some reason Sister Sage and The Deep slept together…Okay well here we go.

I have watched General Hospital since 1977 when Laura and Scotty were teens, but to be honest I really have not kept up with it for the past few months. I liked Bobbie it is sad that the actress just died.
