How will Bobbie's death affect her children?

General Hospital viewers have been patiently waiting for the ABC soap to do a tribute episode to Jackie Zeman who portrayed Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Spencer for 4 decades. Zeman passed away in mid-May from cancer but her death has not yet been addressed on the air. Zeman had some last great moments on the ABC soap but a tribute episode would be fitting. Several spoilers are suggesting that once her death has been announced there will be a memorial service and afterward something beneficial may come from her demise.

Bobbie has two children an adopted son Lucas Jones (Matt Trudeau) and a daughter Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). Lucas has not been seen in Port Charles since March 2021 so GH fans will hope he returns for his mother's memorial and perhaps will stick around. His spouse Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) has been released from jail and went to work for his aunt Selina Wu (Lydia Look). Lucas has not been seen in Port Charles since March of 2021 but perhaps if he returns the two might decide to get back together.

Will Bobbie leave an inheritance?

Spoilers have come up with a scenario that seems plausible that would benefit Carly and get Lucas back in Port Charles. General Hospital fans know that Carly owes the SCC 5 million dollars because of her role in insider trading that sent Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to Pentonville. If she paid the fine herself it would wipe her out financially.

Carly told Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) that she would rise again and if she received an influx of cash right now it would solve her problems. Spoiler alerts are suggesting that Bobbie might leave her daughter an inheritance that could put this financial crisis behind her. Bobbie was a long-time nurse a nurse at General Hospital so unless she made some wise investments it's not likely she had a lot of cash or assets.

There is one asset that Barbara Jean Spencer was the last known owner of which is Kelly's Diner. She inherited it from her aunt Ruby Spencer Anderson. (Ruth Connelly). Spoilers suggest that Bobbie may have left the diner to Carly in her will and that she could work there, making her own living and beginning a new chapter in her life. Carly running the diner does not seem like a good fit any more than mob boss Julian Jerome (William deVry) looked right running Charlie's Pub but anything is possible.

What will be the future of Kelly's?

There is also the possibility that Bobbie will leave the diner to both her children and Lucas and Carly could always sell it to someone else in Port Charles who will run Kelly's. Carly could use her share of the proceeds to pay off the FCC. Will Lucas return to town and if so will he stick around and or reconnect with Brad? When Bobbie was last seen she was spending time with Carly who chose to change her last name from Corinthos to Spencer which really pleased her mom. An episode to pay homage to the soap vet is indeed in order but nothing can top that mother/daughter moment.

Kin Shrine (Scott Baldwin) was once married to Bobbie and they briefly got together again a few years back. Shriner has stated he was fired by the soap so he may or may not be on hand for a memorial service even though he should be at the top of the list. Be sure to keep tuning in on weekdays to General Hospital to find out when a memorial will be given for Bobbie to honor Jackie Zeman. Be on the lookout for spoilers to reveal whether or not Lucas will return to Port Charles and what inheritance if any Nurse Spencer left to her son and daughter.
