General Hospital fans share the changes they want to see when the show returns

General Hospital fans have been sharing their opinions for months, on social media as to the changes they desire when the ABC soap is up and running. Soap Dirt recently did a poll, on Facebook and Twitter and those who responded had a lot to say about what they want to be different when the show returns to screen. The first thing on the list is for the sudser to pick up the pace in Port Charles and resolve the many ongoing storylines. Wiley's custody case and the stalling in the relationship between Alexis and Neil were on viewers' minds. Some suggested that there should be a time jump and details could be filled in along the way as Days of Our Lives did in 2019.

While a few fans wanted to see Nelle remain in town, the majority indicated they want Ms.Hayes to be long gone. Viewers also desire to see Michael back with Sasha and Chase with Willow or at least allow Chase and Sasha to know the truth. Some viewers want Nelle to soon be revealed as Nina's daughter, while others continue to hold out that somehow it will be Willow. General Hospital viewers overwhelmingly do not want Maxie to be pregnant with Peter's demon seed but would like to see Liz and Franco have a child. Perhaps they might have a little girl to go with the three boys they currently parent.

There was also an overwhelming amount of feedback regarding balance in the characters that are seen in Port Charles. Most viewers desire to see less of Sonny, Carly, and Jason and want more focus on the hospital itself and veterans of the ABC daytime drama. Respondents were split down the middle regarding JaSam with half wanting them to quickly reunite and others suggesting Sam should have an affair with Brando. There were many suggestions for adventurous storylines for the long time cast members. These include having Kevin and Laura involved with a Cassadine Island mystery, and having Robert, Mac, Felicia, and Anna, go off in search of Holly. The big reveal would be that they would find Drew Cane alive and well, instead of Robert's ex-wife.

Nothing was said regarding current storylines such as Nikolas possibly falling for Ava, or Curtis finding out Trina is his daughter. The fans are really loyal to veteran actors and two of them were recently promoted.The Scorpio brothers were elevated on their jobs and Robert is now the DA. Mac is the PCPD lead detective. but unlike Tristan Rogers John J York, is still part-time and Kristina Wagoner is practically non-existent. Fans have been up in arms regarding these beloved characters since General Hospital made Ava the object of Ryan Chamberlain's affection instead of Mrs. Scorpio who had a history with the killer Viewers polled also expressed a desire to see storylines that connect to past characters like Stone and Robin. The problem with this is that Kimberly McCollough has retired from acting in order to work as a director and Stone's brother Jagger left town years ago.

There has also been a lot of time that has elapsed since Stone Cate's death. More of Mac and Felicia, Kevin. and Laura, however. is always in order. General Hospital viewers also want to see the Corinthos brothers reunited with Dante coming home healthy and Morgan returning from the dead. A large number of those polled want to see Hayden back in Port Charles and reunited with Violet and Finn. Fans say that Anna has changed because of Peter and they are losing interest in her character. Andre could always return to Port Charles and resume his romance with Ms. Devane or perhaps she and Robert may find their way back to each other.

General Hospital has not yet given any details as to when the will resume production but it will probably be soon, The Bold and the Beautiful has already begun taping and The Young and the Restless has given a tentative date of July 6. Updates related to the new rules for filming episodes is being updated daily and here is what is known so far.The Bold and the Beautiful will use blow-up dolls, long range shots and significant others of the characters when love scenes are filmed. The other soaps may more than likely follow suit. Crew members will comply with social distancing and will work from behind plexiglass. The cast must keep hand sanitizer with them at all times and will also be tested for COVID-19 on a regular basis. Make sure you are keeping up with all breaking news and spoilers.
