Chelsea begins her confession on Tuesday's episode of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Spoilers tease, however, that Rey will not initially be totally convinced this is on the up and up. He is going to feel as if Victor pushed Chelsea to say she poisoned him and that is true. Rey is not yet on board 100% and might think Victor is blackmailing his daughter in law and that is also a fact. The detective will have to be convinced beyond the shadow of a doubt that Ms. Lawson is giving him all the facts and that she and Victor are not trying to keep Adam out of jail.

Chelsea apologizes and says she did not give him enough poison to kill him. She will really have to put on a performance in order to sell Detective Rosales on what she is selling. Rey knows she is a con artist and that Victor can make people do and say whatever he wants. Rey will have to be absolutely sure that this is not a scheme that Victor and Chelsea have cooked up. It would be just like Victor to have set all of this in motion as a ruse, and Rey knows this.

This time, everything he has been saying has been completely accurate and viewers know that the entire truth will be eventually revealed. It may take some time to get there. Spoilers have teased that Chelsea will go to Fairview and blame her actions on her stroke. Part of Rey will be glad to solve the case but the other part of him still wants Adam to be guilty. He would love nothing better than to see the bad boy Newman locked up for the rest of his life. It will be hard for the detective to accept that he has been wrong and Sharon was right.

Rey knows that his wife cannot be objective where the prodigal Newman is concerned. Her soft spot for Adam has grown now that he has saved the life of her daughter twice within a month. The above clip also shows Nick admitting to Sharon on Tuesday that he actually saw the softer side of Adam while in Kansas. If Nick's attitude changes towards his brother, this will really get under Rey's skin.

Nick and Rey had been allies in their hatred for Adam so now Rey is going to feel as if he is all alone and seen as the bad guy. When Victor called him to come to the ranch he emphasized to Rey that the surgery and recovery will take hours. He added that the detective would not desire to take an unconscious man into police custody. Victor is calculating that Chelsea's confession will absolve this issue and that Adam will not have to go to jail at all.

Rey will be infuriated at how Victor Newman always gets his way and he may decide that he cannot handle the methods of this man and his family members. Spoilers also say that Sharon will make a decision by the end of the week about her marriage. Many fans of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS have been saying on social media that they believe she will choose to end her union with Rey. Having Nick admit that he now sees what she has been saying all along about the good in Adam is a big deal. This might be one of the determining factors in Sharon's decision.

Shaddam fans don't see how she and Rey can possibly work things out once everything hits the fan, but stranger things have happened. Be sure to tune on Tuesday to see the entire episode of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and find out just how convincing Chelsea is and if Rey believes her or not. For once what seems like a set up is actually what really happened.
