What does the future hold for Dante and Sonny?

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is a known Port Charles mobster who enjoys what he does. His son Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zampragna) is a detective with the Port Charles Police Department and he loves seeking justice. These two began their relationship on General Hospital on opposite ends of the spectrum and initially, Dante wanted to arrest his father. Longtime fans will recall the distance between the two but in recent months you would never know that it happened.

Over time, the General Hospital writers have slowly been bringing this father and son into each other's orbits over the years. Now mutual respect and understanding have been taking place and they seem on the path to a real relationship. Sonny and Dantem closer together than apart and have found an apparent gray area. No one at the PCPD at this time is accusing Dante of bending the law for his dad.

Even Robert Scorpio (Tristen Rogers) and Jordan Ashford ( Tanish Harper) have stopped trying to persecute and prosecute the coffee maker. They also seem to have full trust in his offspring.

Dante and Sonny are now sharing secrets with one another and are able to be in each other's presence without accusations. The father and son were discussing the murder of Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) on Tuesday and things went pretty well between them.

Father and son have come a long way

Sonny had confided to Dante that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was the boss of Austin and his cousin Mason Gatlin (Nathanyeal Grey). He even said he believes Cyrus is behind Austin's murder. Dante then shared with his father that Austin was found dead in his Pautawk home.

Dante and Sonny now seem to have an understanding which was evident in Tuesday's General Hospital episode and appear to be meeting somewhere in the middle. Still, the Don of Port Charles has his own code and Dudley Do-Right has sworn to uphold the law. Is it even possible that one will eventually cross the line for the other or will their difference tear them apart?

Dante and Chase may team up

Dante cannot tell anyone what his father relayed in confidence so he will have to begin his own investigation. General Hospital spoilers say that he will team up with his former partner Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) on a new investigation and it might be related to Cyrus and Austin's death. The Pawtuck police department has already agreed to work with the PCPD but how close to Cyrus will they come and will Dante be in danger?

Sonny warned Cyrus last week not to mess with his family but will Renault take heed? There are so many unanswered questions related to Pawtuck fans are wondering if answers will now come or if they will be stonewalled. Dante asked his dad if he had Austin killed and Sonny said he should know he would not have been that sloppy.

GH viewers are enjoying Sonny and Dante

Some General Hospital viewers wonder if Cyrus is really behind Austin's killing or if there is another. On Wednesday Sonny will question Ava Jerome (Maura West) but fans do not believe she went that far. Hopefully, GH will give the fans more scenes with Dominic Zampragna and Maurice Benard together because they have great chemistry.

Will Sonny and Dante work from opposite ends of the spectrum to take down Cyrus Renault and will they be successful? Will there be any collateral damage and could something happen to pit the duo against each other? Who really murdered Austin and will they be caught? Keep watching General Hospital to find out.
