Since the newest trailer for Loki came out, I have been excitedly anticipating many things about the God of mischief’s series debut.

First of all, if you haven’t watching the new trailer, here’s the link in case you’re not up to date! Give it a watch and see if your theories add up to mine!

Within this trailer, there are so many things that stood out to me that I am thrilled about.

The first one being, the concept of Time.

While time isn’t a new concept to explore in the world of TV, it is done differently every single time and I can’t help but enjoy it. I know some people are hesitant to really delve into time, saying it doesn’t work like that and the reality is, no one actually knows for sure, so it makes the concept even more fascinating because the writers can make up whatever they want with it.

In the show the Time Variance Authority (TVA for short) is a group that monitors the timeline, keeping up with every reality that exists to make sure nothing goes wrong. I personally love this concept. Seen in other shows like Umbrella Academy, I’m intrigued to see what Marvel does with it and how they intend to interweave it through the universe with Loki. I’m thinking we are going to get to see many realities with different Loki’s and for that, I am overly excited.

I’m thinking we are going to get to see many realities with different Loki’s and for that, I am overly excited.

I also noticed in the trailer they talk about how Loki taking the Tesseract broke reality, which if you’re a Marvel fan you can recall was brought up in Avengers Endgame. We saw that the stones being taken out of specific timelines would disrupt the continuum of other realities. Because Loki took the stone out of a timeline, that is now happening and he must work to fix his mistake.

I love this concept. Being a big fan of the exploration of alternate realities, I am pumped to see what the show brings to the screen. In the trailer we were given quite a few glimpses of these realities; one where Loki sits on a throne in Asgard, another where we see a broken New York, along with a decimated Avengers tower, another where Loki is wearing a pin that says “ Loki for President”. These are just a few of what we were shown and I have a feeling the writers have some great stuff planned for us.

Not only that, but these scenes look visually stunning!

I also paid attention to some of the new characters who are introduced in this trailer and did some digging, since I do that every time something new is introduced to the Marvel universe. While I am a hard core fan, I am not caught up with everything that happens in the comics, so I have to look up some of it so I know exactly what I’m getting into AND can properly anticipate what is going to happen next. So like any other hardcore fan, I looked up some info on these new characters and the one that stood out to me the most was the female character. Her name is listed as Rovonna Renslayer, shown very briefly in the trailer.

I’m thinking she might be our villain since in the comics her last name Renslayer is the same as a villain who jumps through time. Either that or she is related to the villain, but either way I’m thinking her story line will prove to be an intriguing one, so be sure to watch out for her when you watch the show!

While we didn’t get to see too much magic from Loki there were a few short clips that showed the God of Mischief in action.

I’m hoping we get to see Loki using more of his abilities in this show. Within the Marvel universe, we haven’t seen too much magic from the God and I’d be really interested to see if they come up with new ways to make him a bit more powerful then what we’ve seen so far.

I personally think there is a lot of ways the writers can make his magic appear new and refreshing since we’ve seen Loki do simple parlor tricks. What I think would be worth exploring is his ability to make people see one reality while he does something else.

I’m hoping the writers explore more of that or give us something entirely new. I’m looking for fresh and unexpected, which is what the Gods of mischief is known for. But at least we can trust we will get to see Loki in some action, since the trailer shows the God in the midst of battle quite a few times.

Towards the end of the trailer we see a very quick image of Loki sitting (in what I’m assuming is an alternate reality) with a woman, who we only see the back of.

Now, there has been tons of speculation on who this woman is, but for me personally, I’m hoping it’s Natasha. I know, highly unlikely, BUT a girl can wish can't she?

I think it would be a very interesting way to bring in what happened in Avengers Endgame with this show and since Loki is traveling to different dimensions, this would be the perfect opportunity for them to bring her back.

That being said, if it’s not Natasha, I’ll be completely okay with it. I’m just rattling off my theories and hopes for the show after seeing the trailer.

Regardless, I am pumped for this show and honestly as much as I love Loki, I'm a big Tom Hiddleston fan as well.

So, what do think? Have any theories or hopes for the TV Show?

Loki is set to premiere on Disney Plus June 11th so grab your hats and prepare for some trickery because I think Loki will surly give us more than enough to keep us guessing.
