First Impressions of Holy In the Mists of Pandaria Beta
The other day I was one of the lucky ones who received a Beta invite during the final wave of invites that Blizzard sent out. I had heard a lot about what was happening with discipline, but I wasn’t hearing too much about holy. This worried me a little bit. While most of what I’m curious about involves our level 90 talents (which we can’t try out at this time), I still managed to do some questing, heal the first available instance a couple of times, and do some playing around on my own with our new talents and abilities for a while. Here are a few things that stood out to me, in no particular order:
5 Classes To Pair With The Promethean Corruption
All power comes at a price. Corruptions are things that can twist the body, and taint the soul, but they also allow one to go beyond what they would normally be capable of. This option, put forth in Horror Adventures, is one that a lot of players have been hesitant to delve into. As such I thought I would put together a series of articles where I suggest some the best classes to pair with given corruptions, and to try to minimize the potential harm they can do while emphasizing the powers they offer.

By Steven A. Clubb I still remember the rush of opening my present on Christmas day and seeing the yellow mouse known as Pikachu on the box of my new game: Pokémon Yellow. Collecting these creatures and going on adventures gave me an excitement I never had before. Who would have thought how easy it would be to become so attached to digital animals? I had to have every game that was released throughout my childhood. After the IV generation, I started to slowly lose interest in the Pokémon games and I was getting more into shooter games on other systems. Having no incentive to get the next-gen Nintendo console, Pokémon was officially out of my life sadly.
All’s Fair in Love & WritingPublished 2 years ago in GamersThe Unsettling Sorcerer
The man who entered the inn out of the darkness was a haint on two legs. His ragged black hair was shot through with lightning bolts of dirty white, a hitch in his stride gave him a strange, unnatural gait, and his heavy hands boar thick, hoary nails that were akin to claws. It was his face that was the most arresting, though. Every feature, taken on its own, was beautiful. When put together, though, they were disjointed and uncanny. The eyes were too intense, and slightly offset. The mouth was full, but too wide for the face, and the teeth were strong and white but a little too sharp. His voice, when he spoke, was too deep for the chest it came out of; it created the distinct impression of something speaking through him, the words echoing out of a deep, unseen well.
Neal LitherlandPublished 2 years ago in GamersTarkov's Two Wipe Cycle is Unfortunate
As of the writing for this video, we are at just under 4 months (or 117 days I think), since the last time Tarkov has wiped. This isn’t a new story for the game. In fact, for a while now, it has been this way. Wipe cycles have become longer and longer with each major cycle; patches have become scarce as well; more so those patches that have a lot of incoming updates and content. We still get smaller patches that change things around us, but what we are looking for, are those patches that usually include a wipe. And those have become kind of a rare animal out in the world of Tarkov. With the direction of Tarkov changing over the years for a variety of reasons, so too have the days of wiping the game and starting fresh on a new patch every few months. The ambitions of what BSG want to do have gotten bigger, and more grandiose. But with that, comes more work; the time it takes to have those visions come to life and be injected into the game take longer. Even now, we are still waiting on Lightkeeper; our first in-game trader. Real world issues aside, there is a very strong argument to be made that they have hit a snag with that feature and getting him to function the way they want in the game. Alongside that, with Streets looming on the horizon for the end of year, which, let’s be real with ourselves for a moment, is most likely not going to happen anymore, which is fine but again, just a reality check. It makes sense that things have slowed down; a lot. And I think we can actually pinpoint the moment were things really changed for Tarkov, and we began the times of what I am referring to as the Two wipe cycle.
Seamless Coop for Elden Ring is Supreme
I think most of us will agree that Elden Ring is truly something special. To take the Dark Souls’ formula and add the layer of open world to it, was something I think a lot of us had our doubts about. Would it even work? How big would the world be? Would size create issues with performance? And other than some hiccups on release day (at least speaking from personal experience on the PC version), the game went off without many issues. Balance aside, the game was gorgeous, was absolutely jam packed with content, and could easily fill anywhere from 80-100 hours for a single playthrough, which is bonkers to think about even today. However, there was one system that marred it from being a true masterpiece, like all other games by From Software: the online and coop functionality. If there is one system in these games that is grossly outdated and in desperate need of a complete fundamental rework from the ground up, it’s the online functionality of the Souls’ games. At this point, whether or not the systems make sense from a lore standpoint, I couldn’t really care less. I would like these systems to be simple, intuitive, and hassle free. And sadly, that’s not the case for any of the games. Again, Fromsoft ties the online features of these games to lore, and to have it make sense within the story they are trying to convey. Use a certain item, make sure you are in the area you want to explore, use a password, don’t die otherwise you gotta do the process all over again; it’s tedious. It really is. Luckily, for all you PC players out there (sorry console goers, this doesn’t apply to your situation, sorry), there is a remedy for this. And it honestly should be how all these games going forward work.
5 Tips For Playing Better Ninjas
The night is quiet. The only thing one can hear is the wind blowing through the eaves, and the occasional flap of a hunting bird. You see nothing, but that doesn't mean there is nothing out there. And as you peer into the shadows, you do not see one of them detach itself from the wall behind you.

Neal LitherlandPublished 2 years ago in GamersDo NOT Pre-Order Games in 2022
If there is one piece of advice, I’ve heard time and time again being someone who has consumed videogames as their primary media form for almost my entire life, is to always try your best at tempering your expectations. Unfortunately, in 2022, the industry as a whole as seen a large shift in how it functions and its overall goals for delivering games. There are still many studios out there, talented people out there, who just have a vision and want to see it come to life. And to them I say thank you and keep doing what you’re doing. It’s a shining beacon that we need to remind ourselves of every now and again. But for the rest of us, it’s hard not to see some aspects of videogames and get frustrated that games come out half-baked, buggy, broken, and dead-on arrival. Which is why I feel compelled to say this in 2022, many years after its introduction: Do NOT pre-order games anymore.
Super Nintendo Games That Should Have Been Added To The SNES Classic.
As great and nostalgic the SNES Classic was, it left out some impressive games. Despite allowing older players to relive their childhoods, the SNES Classic left out some of the best SNES games ever created.
Halden MilePublished 2 years ago in GamersNintendo 'Falls' Short This Season
Getting Direct September has come and gone with no new Nintendo 64 game for Nintendo’s Switch Online Expansion Pass. With October upon us it has been almost exactly one year since Nintendo launched the Switch Online Expansion Pass with its original nine titles. Since December of 2022 Nintendo has released one title per month for a total of nine new titles (at least outside of Japan). The only odd months out in this distribution pattern have been November 2021, and September of 2022-the reason for my lamentations.
