Gaming peripherals are a highly populated market

Gaming peripherals are a highly populated market. It shouldn't take too much time to find the right headset, but it can be difficult to ensure your earnings don't go to waste. Since my first online experience with the PlayStation 3, I have used many headsets. In fact, I started out using a Nokia bluetooth earpiece to talk with my friends.

Corsair, industry veterans, has made it their mission to provide gamers and non-gamers with a sound solution for all of their auditory problems.

Comfort and Construction

The Virtuoso RGB Gaming headset is now available. The Virtuoso RGB Gaming Headset has a simple design that appeals to non-gamers. It also features a sturdy, weighty construction. This was my first impression of the Virtuoso headset.

To allow for extended play sessions, the cups surrounding your ears are generously padded with memory foam inserts. While there are many variables such as ear size, fabric preference, and cup style that can affect the Virtuoso's versatility, I have found it to be quite versatile. The headset has been put to the test with unsurprisingly long sessions Warzone. The headset's comfort has not been an issue during this period.

Sound and Features

Virtuoso, which is the bread and butter of its product, is an impressive competitor to its competitors in the Astro/ Stealth/ Razor brands. I was impressed by the high-fidelity audio it promised. I started by downloading the Corsair iCUE software, which allows users to customize their audio and make adjustments to it. This is something that I strongly recommend before you start your first gaming venture. The Virtuoso has a flat response by default, which is exactly what it should.

The RGB feature, like most Corsair products can still be modified via the iCUE software. This will allow you to align your product with your aesthetic preferences.

Also, the profile is not predetermined for your sound. Although the default settings in the software were not to my liking, I was able to find a profile that suits me after much research and tweaking. I was able to access no-comment gameplay of the games I have been playing on YouTube to aid my search. This method is not perfect due to YouTube's audio compression or if the uploader has modified it before.

The "50mm high density neodymium speakers drivers" are nothing short of exceptional. The Virtuoso's output stands out in this price range. It is crisp, clear, and has a commanding presence. Unfortunately, surround sound support for the PS4 or Nintendo Switch is not available. However, it is possible through PC gaming. The experience is still top-notch, despite this minor inconvenience.

Corsair provides a frequency range of 20Hz to 40,000Hz, giving users twice the range of standard headsets. This allows for subtle sounds to be heard. The Virtuoso was a great way to immerse yourself in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. The versatility of the Virtuoso was evident, from the smallest drop of water in forgotten caves to the crunch vines breaking through amongst the traversal.

Mick Gordon's supreme mixing prowess is filthy on the most extreme audio battlefields in Doom. As the best guitar riffs and guns dominate the scene, the guns pound furiously. This is why iCUE software is so brilliant for personalizing audio heaven.

The USB wired USB connection allows PC gamers to enjoy 24bit/96kHz audio. Wireless or 3.5mm are 16bit/48kHz.

I was most surprised by the microphone. The current UK Lockdown in continued means that gear such as my sound equipment are locked away at the office. This microphone was already used on JumpCast's latest episode and I was very impressed by the results. The microphone has a small compression, which can lead to clipping if you laugh loudly enough. When configuring your settings, it is important to consider the correct placement of the microphone and the appropriate levels.

The iCUE software offers the possibility to set sidetone. This is a very welcome feature. This allows me to hear my external voice, so I won't shout unintentionally.

It is easy to remove the microphone and you can use it to see outside of your peripheral vision. Muting on other headsets has not always been a smooth process. The Virtuoso solves this problem by placing a discreet mute button under the microphone. You can change the LED's color from green to red so you can go to the fridge and grab a drink, without disturbing the party's audio.

The SLIPSTREAM wireless technology allows for a peaceful wander around your household, even if it is 60 feet away.

Like the headset, Corsair's wireless dongle feels solid and reassures in terms of building confidence. Both a USB-C and braided 3.5mm cables are included. They allow for sound via wired connection as well as charging via USB. The headset can be charged for as long as 20 hours. That's a lot of time to waste. It takes approximately two hours to fully charge the headset.

All in all

It is possible that you have not noticed any faults in this review. The Virtuoso headset offers gamers the opportunity to enjoy a premium product at an affordable price. Corsair headsets are comfortable, reliable, and dynamic.

Virtuoso does not offer support for Xbox gamers. This is what the Corsair Void series offers for Microsoft's console. The Virtuoso is available for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Playstation 4 gamers via the above-mentioned connection methods.
