It's been over six years since the release of Ark: Survival Evolved and the game is still going strong. Ark: Survival Evolved has amassed a huge following over the past six years, with a review rating on Steam of around 90%. In addition to the impressive digital performance of the game itself, the DLC released by the development team is also quite good. The latest DLC, Ark: Genesis Season 2, was second on Steam's weekly sales list within three days of its release and boosted the number of people online to recent highs, demonstrating the game's vitality.

Over four hundred creatures to tame and enhance the gameplay experience.

When it comes to the features of Ark: Survival Evolved, there are a thousand Ark players out there, but what we can all agree on is that the diversity of creatures makes the gameplay of the game very varied. In the open sandbox world, creatures play an integral role and are active in all areas of the world. These creatures have a strong connection to the player, and some challenges and quests depend on them to be completed.

The different characteristics of the creatures define them, and once tamed, they can be ridden around the world as pets. There are places that cannot be reached by human footsteps alone, but only the creatures can reach them. Creatures with their efficient gathering skills are essential to player development, and with their patrol mode activated, it is sometimes easy to harvest an entire forest.

In addition to their support role, some very aggressive creatures can act as the vanguard of a battle group of creatures and make their presence felt on the battlefield. Creatures are essential to almost any game, and the vast majority of games are made more exciting by them. In Ark: Survival Evolved, there are over four hundred creatures to tame, and the resulting abundance of creatures greatly enhances the gameplay experience.

An epic story, as exciting as a movie.

When players first enter the world of Ark, they are greeted by a vast and pristine world, but what they see is only the tip of the iceberg of the game's vast worldview. With each DLC release, players will see the world transform. Each map the player experiences is a bionic space station, a high-tech ark lurking in space. The current Ark is set in a sci-fi era, which players will learn more about when they enter the final DLC, Ark: Genesis Season 2.

Through a gripping main storyline, Ark: Survival Evolved ties together the ten DLCs that have been released over the years. At the beginning, players enter the story of the Silo, the first DLC in Ark: Survival Evolved, and after following scientist Helena, players defeat the final boss, the silverback gorilla, and move through the Silo to the Scorched Earth DLC, which sees Helena's most trusted companion, Rockwell, go dark. The blackened Rockwell is the final boss players will face in the future, and will be present throughout all Ark: Survival Evolved DLC.

Players then move on to the Aberration DLC, where Rockwell's mad experiments lead to the decay of the planet and his own transformation into a giant monster of aberration. The player follows Helena's notes all the way to the DLC Extinction, and after a series of crises, it's as if a whole new world opens up: the Genesis Ark officially opens. All the DLCs are interconnected and together they write an epic story that is as exciting as a movie.

Open-ended, free-roaming mods that unleash players' creativity

Ark: Survival Evolved's unique gameplay and its signature DLCs greatly expand the entire sandbox universe, and the game also allows players to create and introduce their own custom mods where they can be as creative as they want.

Some of the creative mods are already quite out of the box, such as the recreation of a ninja village in the world of Ark, or the formation of the Avengers, creating many great creations. The development team has not only given full freedom to players, but some of the best DLCs have earned them sincere recognition, allowing players around the world to witness their creative ideas.

Overall, the quality of Ark: Survival Evolved has been forged over six years and confirmed by more than 10 million players, making it a classic not to be missed.
