1. Bendy and the Dark Revival: The sequel to Bendy and the Ink Machine. This dark twist on old cartoons reminds me of a devil version of the old Mickey steamboat clips. The 50s cartoon atmosphere is a great spin on a horror game. Run and hide from the ink or become ink yourself!

2. Stray: This game that has you play as a cat with technological abilities has a great atmosphere and fun with robots. The difficulty of this game is running away from the flesh eating blobs when you don't have a weapon for them, and when you do get a weapon it can only last in charge for so long at a time.

3. Broken Age: This story shows the two different perspective of how to look at a situation. What one child believes is a monster is another's home. It takes you through wacky worlds and puzzles with wild solutions, like finding a way to get special shoes in order to not fall through the clouds.

4. Fran Bow: What really happened to your parents and why do you need to take pills to see the world in a different way? Fran Bow is a wacky puzzle horror game where Fran tries to find her cat with a fun story line and shocking ending. I enjoyed the storyline of escaping an asylum and ending up in the house of two creepy ghost sisters and then a new land where Fran is turned into a tree.

5. Little Misfortune: By the same game studio as Fran Bow, little misfortune is a story telling game with cute but creepy elements about a little girl who runs away from home and realizes where she is by the end after all the glitter has run out. There is not as much puzzle solving as Fran Bow, so it is more relaxed game.

6. Nancy Drew- Midnight in Salem: With a new twist on the puzzle detective games of Nancy Drew, this story of the witches becomes a Halloween type feeling. Are witches really haunting the Hathorne House or is it a set up? I enjoyed the atmosphere of the town and the hunting for ghosts in the graveyard.

7. Sherlock Holmes- Crimes and punishments: The series of investigation in this game is intriguing. There are several parts: One about a man getting stabbed with a harpoon, another about searching several railway stations, a sauna murder, and Sherlock figuring out how someone jumped a wall in order to escape the scene of the crime.

8. Amnesia the Dark Descent: This game was set in a castle with a man trying to gain his memory back while wanting to keep his sanity. I enjoyed the flashbacks and slowly finding pieces to retain his memory. I however wish there was something to either beat the monsters with or a better way to hide like how there were cupboards in the Bendy game.

9. Strange Horticulture: I enjoyed the gameplay of owning a shop with plants that had different varieties of properties for the customers. Searching the map for new plants and selling them to the townspeople makes for a relaxing game experience.

10. Layers of Fear: I enjoyed the 2016 version of this game and wanted to play the new 2023 revamp of the painter's story and actor's intertwined with the lighthouse writer tying them together. I enjoy going through the horror house and ship elements where it all happens to you. The added element of busting a monster with a lantern was an addition to make the game scarier because of people complaining about it being too boring. In the past games, I enjoyed the elements happening around me and didn't really need anything to run from. It would be okay to me except the fact that you cannot kill the monster, it just reforms once again.
