El Peuchen of Mapuche Mythology
The cultures of South America have such a rich history that it makes it challenging to hone in on any one particular subject. Every piece of folklore, mythology, creature, monster, and history of every culture has stories that have been told and retold countless times. Many of these have evolved and changed, sitting just below the surface of modern stories as nearly invisible roots. The first Harry Potter novel featured a basilisk, a snake with a lethal gaze. Accounts and descriptions of such a creature can be traced back to at least the writings of Pliny the Elder in Ancient Rome.

I and millions of other Brits will be gathering in farmer's fields freezing to the bone this weekend. As we gaze in awe at the cold night backdrop and its pretty colourful display. Smells of gunpowder smoke slowly infiltrate the odours of cooked meats, kebab vans and children's sweets. The crowd huddled together in darkness in between sparklers, LED plastic sticks, and flickers of light all celebrating Guy Fawkes Night (Bonfire Night).

Just three months ago we Brits were celebrating Queen Elizabeth's 70-year reign, the longest reigning monarch our country has ever seen. Today is the last day of Her Majesty's reign and it's time to say goodbye to the crown. Britain has been divided for a very long time, the 2016 European Union Referendum only revealed these cracks. Over the past six years, tensions have got considerably worse. Civil unrest is beginning to break out, our government is not even hiding how corrupt they are, and people are struggling to put food on the table (and we are talking millions in a population of 67.2 million), Britain is in a transition of change. For better or worse, I can not say for sure, but I sense an opportunity to make a change for the good of the people. A nation of the people, not of the wealthy. I have said this before but we must measure the greatness of a nation based on the absence of poverty not how many billionaires live there.

From time immemorial, the concept of a soul, of spirits, demons, and an afterlife has long fascinated humankind. Throughout the advancement of humankind, from nomadic tribes, to the first villages, towns, and cities, people sought spiritual direction from holy leaders, regardless the origin of the faith or religion itself. Our ancient ancestors took their spiritual devotion seriously, from embracing the worship of entire polytheistic pantheons, to monotheism.

Paul ConneallyPublished 2 years ago in FYI5 Things You May Not Have Known About The British Monarchy
The British Monarchy has been in existence since 1066 and is arguably the most recognisable royal family in the world today. While the current generation of royals are universally known, there exists a near thousand-year history behind them that has sometimes fallen by the wayside.
The Mystery of the Black Nun of Moret
King Louis XIV is famous for various reasons - from his politics to the numerous affairs that resulted in him fathering quite a few children. But while the tales of the king’s romantic adventures were well known, none of them mentioned any woman of African origins.

Once upon a time in the city of Leiden, in the Netherlands, there lived a lovely middle-aged lady. She was poor, but she never refused to help her neighbors. And for her kindness, everybody called her Goeie Mie - the Good Mary.
The Sex Crazy Nuns Who Shocked Medieval England
Even after more than 800 years, it was an unsettling sight. In 2012, archaeologists excavating a church site in Oxford had found skeletons of nuns who died in disgrace after being accused of 'sexually immoral behaviour.
Peeping_SoulPublished 2 years ago in FYIWhy It's Time to Delete TikTok
Okay, everyone, I hate to ruin your day but it is time to delete TikTok and downgrade our time spent on social media altogether. I miss the days TikTok was just a Ke$ha song, or better still, the days before I was born with that weird robot general thing from Return to Oz (1985). Needless to say, social media is the bane of my life, and I think I speak for my generation when I say, it has ruined us entirely. I don't know anyone who doesn't have some sort of mental health problem, from mild to major. It's as if it's contagious, and perhaps it is. Cancel culture is a poison, micro-narcissism exists everywhere spreading its toxicity to every corner of the inernet. Oh, and our privacy has been sacrificed in the name of security, but this sacrifice has been in vain. The terms and conditions have made us all willingly exchange both our privacy and security for the sake of funny videos.

Now, whether it is domestic or foreign, it can provide many scenic spots for everyone, and the types of scenic spots also make tourists often dazzled. According to some statistics, the number of people who choose to go abroad to play has gradually increased. This is understandable. First of all, because the fees of many domestic attractions are too high, they have also lost their original taste. Another reason is that going to other countries can experience more cultures and customs.
