The Prideful Color of Purple

Mystic piper that slides on through. The life of space swirls like a blender of a banana. smoothie. Working through life and making its struggle. The prideful color of purple bursts into amazement. For a time, the color purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red. The color purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic. With such variety the soul of the color can bring as much if not more inner peace within oneself.

Associated with the mysteries of the unknown, purple brings so much magic and peace. Contrary to the colors of others, purple is associated spirituality, the sacred, higher self, passion, third eye, fulfillment, and vitality. Purple helps align oneself with the whole of the universe. Different shades, tints, and hues of purple have different meanings. Light purple hues represent feminine energy and delicacy, as well as romantic and nostalgic feelings. Dark purple hues evoke feelings of gloom, sadness, and frustration. Bright purple hues suggest riches and royalty.

Throughout history, purple robes were worn by royalty and people of authority or high rank. Many believe this to be true because the rare occurrence of purple in nature made it one of the most expensive color dyes to create. The United States Military awards the Purple Heart to soldiers wounded in battle. In Thailand, purple is the color of mourning for widows.

Purple is such a defining color (aside from the primary colors) because its variety of blends to the concepts it connects with. In sexuality purple is derived by spirit. The power to find truth and provide poise. The luxury and opulence of life and its surroundings. Such connection with a should is to bring out a purity of hope. So much fear, anxiety and pressure to engulf the victims of humanity. Traveling through the cosmos with such grace, purple connects many characters in history where the color purple brings so much meaning and confidence. 

For the Green Lantern comics, their resides the color indigo which is the color of compassion. If the greater good always comes first, and all else comes second, the Indigo Tribe is a perfect match. Someone named Abin Sur was believed to be responsible for discovering this relatively new source of power which were the Indigo Power Rings. Whether pure of heart or criminals they would immediately feel remorse and empathy for the actions that they take while possessing these purple rings. They foster such emotional aftermath of destruction that they are appointed the true owners of such magic. Purple provides so many things and its meaning comes downs to its spiritual and mystical growth. This color individually creates shades and blends to express immensely. Such with such pride and grace, its no wonder the vast outskirts of space and the nebula shows its images through the color purple. This world is forever growing and continue to surprise us all. Always changing and adapting, the foundations that are created helps to keep those grounded. Connecting ourselves with a color (or colors) helps provide relatability and comfort. Guiding us to a better tomorrow and a more peaceful today. Amongst all the colors of the rainbow, purple may not be the main colors to have begun to reign like red, green and blue, but deeper thoughts and advancements of the crayons branch out.
